I'm sure some people will appreciate not having to see threads derailed by the trolls. I'm sorry for any additional administrative overhead it'll add to your plate for watching for it (or if reported to you, verifying) and then executing it.
From my lurking, I can only think about three pairs of people that tend to do this pretty commonly, hopefully that'll really take care of the majority of the issue.
Hudini - easiest way to do that is just see who started a thread when looking through a parent forum area. If you see it was started by someone you know irks you... skip the thread. There are folks that I tend to skip threads, or their posts, for that reason. The contributions are either non-constructive, or fully destructive; no sense in letting it irk me or trying to say anything corrective because that is usually just giving them a signal that they've got someone's attention and can keep going.

The name of whomever initiated a thread is plainly indicated. Seems to me easy enough to just not bother opening that thread. You'll then never be exposed to its content.
I would like to add something to this. Cliff has very recently made some changes in the OT section to clean the mess up and tho not quite complete yet, it should very soon once again be a place where we can all post threads about the non-Fiero sides of our lives. Some of you remember how it used to be there. It is again. and you don't have to look at the squabbling politics. New baby? Got a new house? Lost your job? Got a new and better one? New GF or BF you want to show off?
Have questions about a remodel or add on to your home? Vacation pictures? Just want to talk?
He did a lot of work to make this happen. Give it a try. You'll like it.

So glad not so soft sticks and stones first lesson in life didn't play hopscotch. Even 2% hardener to resin will harden up then just sand down relax as no Fiberglass given.
Haha... I don't know how I missed this. Yeah, most people don't know what it is and think it's some kind of ultra religious thing. It's just an early 90s computer game as you identified. But the hidden joke is that the guy in the image is called "The Avatar." So... I use it as my avatar image, hahah...

You want me to explain the joke? I typed out what also appeared to be a sentence comprised of nonsense. After reading two posts in a row that you thought were nonsense, you would therefore conclude you were the one having a stroke.
