OLD OBD2 vs PLX KIWI3

The KIWI3 will allow integration of wireless boost and wideband data to my iPhone for tuning.
The OLD OBD interface didn't work with an iPhone and couldn't get wideband data and only up to 12 psi boost that the PCM sees. I don't think the 2 map boost value is 100% accurate and the narrowband is inadequate.
I really didn't want to run wires through the firewall to get accurate wideband and boost data that I had to use my DHP to log it which is cumbersome and unreliable when logging data.

Boy do I have a lot to learn. Nice job so far. I bought an 88 GT from The Las Vegas Fiero Club and plan to do follow the route youre taking, nice inspiration.

No, I still use mine all the time for re flashing the PCM. However, unless you have wires through the firewall to connect to the DHP you only doing narrowband tuning. Narrowband tuning is close enough tuning while wideband is spot on. I didn't want to be tied to wires and the PC for logging data. Tuning using your phone is the way go especially when you merge logging data with video and GPS metrics that DHP tuning can't do.

Pretty cool man, nice work on that motor and everything else. I like the first set of wheels too, if the center area was really thick u could have that milled down at a machine shop so the wheels wouldnt stick out so far. Cool build man I dig the hood. That black fiero w the full kit looks awesome!

Bump, The 88 Coup is still alive and will be faster than my old 86 fastback. Video of old fastback for effect.

Really nice!!! I really like that you put back the 88 coupe front end. What did you do with the old one? It's the same color as my 87...

Thx, I gave it to someone a long while back. I also like the original nose much better on the body style. I plan on getting this thing panted next spring and it will be all the way back restored.
