Hmmmm.........I'll put in a plug for the Canton/Ball Ground area. About 40 miles or so north of Atlanta up interstate 575, exit 20. Very nice area, not too far from the North Georgia mountains, far enough from Atlanta to still feel rural, yet close enough to have all of the shopping and restaurants and such.
(And, if you're into airplanes, a nice airport that sometimes sees unique airplanes!)
