Been following this build for yeeeeeeeeeeears and it's almost impossible to get ahold of the builder, but i did catch a slight glimpse of some progress on the car.
It's being built by probably the worlds best replica batmobile builder Mark Towle.
Given the time this has been ongoing, it's obvious his batmobile biz is consuming the vast majority of his time.
At any rate these are the latest pics i could scrounge up. Not much progress, but you can see the potential. These pics are hard to come by, and i believe are at least a year or so old.
Some other pics and projects going on around his shop.
It might be cool field trip for a local fiero club or even an idividual to go out and check out his shop and his build ?? He is out in California.
Something I've never understood about these builds...when you're dealing with this level of customization, why even bother starting with an existing car? Seriously..what's left of the actual Fiero? Part of a floor pan and part of the console?

Ask any builder it is a looooooooooot of work to start from scratch.

Vin and title, a real pain in the azz with a scratch built.

Correct, however it's sad also because you have one less Fiero as well. Someone's dream destroyed. Too bad the Ford Escort didn't have a full frame.
Many modern kit companies have ways around the laws so kit builders, as in ones who produce and sell, no longer require sacrifice cars. That's a totally different game however.
My question is why use a fiero when there are plenty of crown vic chassis with an almost bolt on kit already made?! I'm more interested in the fiero he's got as well as that white dually sittin on the side!

lol he did not use a fiero for the batmobiles, the fiero tie in is just the one he is building.
Resurrecting this thread from the dead as I was thinking about it the other day and liked the design, so decided to contact them for an update. Here's what I got back:
