I thought those would be fun for Halloween but I heard they are VERY uncomfortable. Instead of going around just the iris, it covers your whole eyeball.

Shill showed me these videos, it got an "I feel like I'm getting brainwashed" to "This is really weird.." To "Wtf? I don't get it but this is super cool"

I didn't care for the music, the girl is mildly amusing and in the right light could be pretty.

When I first heard Die Antwoord a couple years ago I was like kill me now that voice.... but their music is catchy and grows on you. Every year they have gotten better and better, this trio will be huge.

Here's a pretty good live performance of there biggest hits, they look like they are really into their own sound which is refreshing to see and the crowd is really into it.

I posted "Rich B!tc# " on my Facebook page and a friend in Brussels commented that Die Antwoord is the #1 pop/rap group in Belgium at present.

Love it.. the video is not as "shocking" but is in some ways... I likey the bath tub.

The visual is all I care aboutwith Die Antwoord.. their music is not really my style, but I can watch "Baby's On Fire" every day.

Yep, still play them. Even if you don't like the words, you gotta love the beats.

After reading your post, I looked it up and watched District 9 on YouTube as well. (How is it allowed to be uploaded there?) I was kind of disappointed. I felt no compassion for the "prawns", which then made it difficult to feel bad for them when they were being abused.

However, after watching the entire movie I'm not sure now who I'd mistrust and/or fear the most if I was to meet up with them... aliens or Nigerians.

Well, we were "supposed" to dislike the MNU. The problem was (for me), I didn't particularly care about anyone in the movie. Even the main character was kind of a dolt.

I also felt the storyline was full of holes, but to see it for free on YouTube, I probably shouldn't complain too much.

i thought that was kind of the point. he's a well-meaning but semi-inept corporate bureaucrat, the boss's son in law. expendable. unlikely hero material, just another cog in the machine, and yet his humanity allows him to rise above all expectations, even if he starts out selfishly motivated. i grow tired of superheroes, from krypton, spiderbit, dragonborn, "chosen", whatever. regular people can't be heroes? i call B.S.

sorry about hijacking the thread, i find the movie far more compelling than the music video.

Well, it's all related to the same country anyway.

There's probably been more mentioned in this one thread to do with South Africa than there's been in the entire previous 13 year existence of this forum!
