You missed the point. Obama WANTS IT TO BE single payer, in other words, he WANTS private insurance to GO AWAY. He said so in the video, in his own words.

It's a stepping stone to single payer. That what the idea.

I'm ok with private insurance going away. Under the present situation there is no incentive for lowering health care costs. The insurance companies don't care. All they have to do is jack up their premiums. They are nothing but a middleman taking their slice out of the middle between the provider and the patient. They just add to the paper work and jack up the bill.

You're not going to get an aruguement from me about the Insurance Companies, as far as I am concerned they are the new Unions...power centers who destroy liberty. But nationalizing Healthcare is simply a disasterous plan. What we need is tort and insurance reform. Obamacare ignores the 600 pound gorilla in the room and adds more burdens to the patients, doctors, and hospital instead of going after ambulance chasing lawyers, Insurance companies making 900% profits (not because of fair markets but because of collusion), and the FDA.
If you plan to fix healthcare you have to go after the PROBLEMS, Obamacare doesn't.

We all agree that it needs to be overhauled, but having the government as the middle man is just plain nuts. They will be taxing anything that moves, all in the name of saving health care, but the money will somehow not find its way there. Government run health care is the new avenue to unlimited taxation.

Mitt walked off the platform and just about had a grilled cheese sandwitch between his teeth before he became aware of his mistake and I wouldn't be suprised if somebody told him of the mistake.

Your posts are moronic. Go make yourself a grilled cheese sandwich, at least you'd be accomplishing something.

BTW/FYI he completely owned up to it during the 60 Minute's interview (It was his son who told him, with his wife confirming)
But this is just another indication of where politics is going. Nobody talking about what the issues are, but 3 pages of "Ohh look Romney is an idiot because he misspoke.".. Sigh..

My only thought on this thread is, threads like this only go to further irritate and enflame personal and political differences among us. A slip of the tongue and both sides go off on tangents. No one on this forum is gonna change how they feel about the two different sets of candidates based on what is said here. 8Ball is going to vote for Obama, I won't. Nothing I say is gonna change his mind and I assure you, nothing he says will get me to vote for a socialist. OK, let's move on.
Personally, I think it's kind of funny when the different candidates screw up but, I won't base my singular vote on things like this. Pretty silly thread with some pretty silly remarks following.
Oh and BTW, when ya say you're done posting in a thread, it really helps make the point when ya don't come back and post some more.

"This is not what it takes for me to dislike him, this just exemplifies his stupidity. He is a crook. He is a cheat and a liar. Let's see his Taxes and let's see his birth certificate."
^ sounds like a description of Obama to me.
"My point is, the Economy has improved under Obama.. The Stock Market has climbed and jobs have been created"
^ OK, maybe Obama created 100 jobs, one of which is yours. Stock market goes up and down all the time...its taken almost 4 years to get close to what it was before. The only jobs hes created are ones he gave to supporters who backed him, and stupid things like Green Corps, most of which are out of the US or already out of business after failing. Lots more businesses fail every day than any newly created ones appear.
I dont recall ever hearing Obama supported nuclear power at all, I may be wrong. I seem to recall he thinks theyre too dangerous. You got your job there because that particular company needed someone with your apparent qualifications. Obama and his destructive economic Obamaniations had nothing to do with it.

Sorry to take so long, I was making a grilled cheese sandwich...I'm back now...and I'm still smart.
What was your point?

More Obama.....He talks about Romney doing away with medicare, which hes not. Its a scare tactic to get seniors votes. He dont tell you his plan takes 700 billion dollars right out of medicare coffers.
More jobs creation?, ya Motorola is closing a lot of it offices and firing 20% of its workforce (at least 4000). Obama tell you about that ? And Motorola isnt the only company. There will def be lots more of this if hes reelected and his healthcare plan goes thru. So where exactly are these jobs hes creating ? Maybe hes talking about the more IRS employees and repossesors hired to take more of the peoples stuff.

Obama's plan for Medicare is to keep promising you the world. When Medicare goes bankrupt in 2024 he won't care because it's after he's out of office and doing book tours.
Romney & Ryan are trying to prevent Medicare from going bankrupt. A good start is not taking $700 Billion out of it, like Obama's plan does.
Current spending is unsustainable. Even Obama's administration agrees and so does the CBO. You can either deal with it now, or keep kicking the can down the road until the lights go out.

I totally agree with you. I was hoping Obama Care would bypass the insurance companies. Instead, we've enriched them by sending them more customers.
