Possibly the same thing every man wants?

I'd like a BluRay player with wifi. Well, I'd use it. Honestly I really don't know what I want (aside from the above idea...). My wife hates it because when she ask's, I tell her I have everything I want. I have my wife and my children. I'm able to support them. What else could I want? A Ferrari? /shrug, it'd be fun for driving giggles, but really I don't "want" one. About the only thing I "want" is the same thing I always want and we can't afford it currently. I'd like to go to Disneyland.

HI all

I wish for peace all throughout the land! Thank you.....
Well, since it won't ever be possible without trying for the rest of our time here in this life, how will it not ever be just fiction? So how bout an updated, or an upgrade for the forum where people are not just told the rules of the posting guidelines but they actually have to be upheld and people are penalized for breaking them..

Noone can write here that "P" word, I myself am guilty of writing it out in a fashion that is considered ok... But is it? Is being able to write other filthy four letter words ok to? Yes, I am aware that LOVE is four letters. When a child does wrong his parents attempt to make amense, taking from them for a specified amount of time, and leave with saying, Now I want you think about what you've done. The interent is that child. In the sense of being able to communicate to FAR more people then ever before it is also a child who finds a loaded gun. What would be wrong in attempting to make a place where agreed upon rules are made, and upheld daily.

All I am asking for is to put aside what is known about life, it's puzzles, rights and wrongs, stand aback, and wonder, where could we be if people actually acted all the time as if they cared for you?

------------------
Me, I sell engines, the cars are for free, I need something to crate the engines in....
Enzo Ferrari....

Aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines....
Enzo Ferrari...

Today they are called garage's, yesterday, they were stable's! Eric Jacobsen.... An advancement, of other
voices I came across.

S.F??, hint, it's a car manufacturer....

Do not walk infront of me, I may not follow. Do not walk behind me, I may not lead. Walk beside me and be my friend forever.

I like this. The whole bit was good, but this is some good stuff. people say a lot , but very few actually have others best interest at heart. Sad truth seems that few others out there actually care about you. Selflessness, acting without regard to self...is a noble goal...

Same thing as the last 50 years. I want my flying friggin car dammit!

(I'll settle for a pair of nice new warm socks and maybe some Tony Lamas to put them in.)

Otherwise, I want Santa to fall off my roof and break his dang back. We'll see just how jolly ol' saint nick is after that.

I'd like 33 yards of concrete, 10 yards of cushion sand, few yards of gravel, lots of rebar, and about 20 hours of hired help screeding and finishing. About as likely to happen as a first-gen Countach showing up in my unpaved driveway.

Yeah, and he doesn't make places to float around on one's back, or hookers, or blow, or BJs or most of any of the rest of the things I see people ask for either.

I honestly can't think of anything I want, I have everything and I mean everything that I could possibly want. Ok, maybe a fist full of cash to help maintain all these toys that Santa didn't bring.

I would like for the World to be full of truth. Never another lie ever told. I would lke the total simplicity of truth to forever do away with lawyers and Laws. ( Sorry Perry...but you would survive, I know THAT much )
I would love to see the end of commercials being thrust into our, and our childrens' lives. Removed from the typical everyday TV channels, and put on their own dedicated channels, so we could LOOK for what we want and need, instead of having everything thrust down our visual throats.
I would want the end of divorces to arrive, because everybody would find the peace, love and tranquility I have found during the last 20 years of my life.
I would ask for responsibility for everybody to be a paramount trait in their character, removing the need for abortion, suffering and misery caused by thoughtless people making sex and love into a pastime, rather than an intimate pleasure.
I would ask for compassion to replace greed, eradicating it for ever.
And I would ask for Jesus to come again, and do all that I have listed here in a day, and leave again naturally, not killed by hate and fear.
Merry CHristmas to all my wonderful fiero friends.
Amen

To have been born about 30 years earlier than I was, don't like what I'm seeing this once great country becoming.

This would have put me in an era where craftsmanship still counted for something and at or near the end of my life now.

I can understand that. My father was born in 1925 and passed in 2002.
He grew up in the Depression, graduated High School in 1943, then went to France in WWII. He later served during Korea, got married, raised a family, retired, and died before this country started screaming into the abyss. He was only vaguely aware of 9/11.

That was about the perfect time frame of modern history. I'm glad he hasn't had to see what is happening to the country he defended.

I suppose it is subjective. Living during the depression and World Wars is better? I guess I don't know what I will live thru yet to compare.

Whirled Peas.

A new trombone. Picked up my instrument after 25 years of not playing it. Really enjoying it, playing in a local concert band. However, the trombone I got used in 7th grade is showing its age and abuse. Would love a Bach 42 AF tenor trombone with F attachment, or the 36B.

And if I could have _anything_, it would be for the Founding Fathers of this country to come back to every member of Congress, Supreme Court, and POTUS in dreams, and explain what the Constitutional limits on the Federal Government are supposed to be, ala 'Charles Dickens Christmas Carol' style..

Something practical. Told my mom all I wanted was a new pair of glasses with cheap plastic lenses (my current ones are a year old and falling apart, not to mention the scotchgard AR coated lenses suck) and a new frame to replace my sunglasses frame that got broken when I was kicked in the head by a cop for using my 4th amendment... >.> Basically about $200, since the frames I want/need are discontinued and closeout Ray Bans for $85, and new lenses are $13 for plastic.

Unfortunately no one can give me what I really need.

I wish I had just five more minutes with my Daddy.
this year has been so hard and its difficult to believe that he has been gone almost a year. Christmas is not going to be easy this year.

I want the house closing and move in Jan to go smoothly. I want my Uncle Bubba out of the hospital. I want my Grandfather to remember who I am when he sees me. I want my Father and Step Mother to be able to get through this season even though my Father's hours got cut and my Step Mother has back problems and works too much.

I want my Mother to get through this with as few tears as possible, and I want to see just one smile on her face. I want my brother to be able to get the job he applied for so that he will feel useful again instead of dejected. I want my younger step sister to graduate and realize how precious life really is. I want my Aunt and other step sister to be safe and be able to keep their home this holiday and have the funds to take care of themselves.

I want my older sister to see the good through the storm. I want her husband to not have cancer anymore. I want their kids to get along. (that last one even God cant grant lol)

Mostly, really, I just want this year to be over.
