Comcrapstic Business. I've seen better, but this is average. During this time of day. In the afternoon, it is insanely slow. I think dial up would be faster in the afternoon.

I would encourage everyone to do speed tests from multiple sources over the course of a week or more. A single test has too many factors able to skew results, for example programs running on your pc that are using the internet at the time of the test. You need to check at on-peak and off-peak times for your area as well. Additionally, there are internet providers who allow 'burstable' speeds for short periods of time which look impressive but do not show you what kind of speeds you get on average. Finally, your download speed is only as good as the server you're downloading from
Now, all that said, I might as well post my own results

I have to ask you guys with those high speed connections.
Do pictures load, or just appear?
Even when I had a slower connection that I do now for the most part the pics just appear, they don't 'load' or anything like I remember them doing on dial-up. I think its time to upgrade man. I don't know how you can even stand it.

Some places, hi speed of any kind is just not available--others, it may be available, but just not affordable. I can get it here, but at a cost 3-4X what I pay for dialup. Just not worth it considering how little I use a computer.

Exactly.
I have no cable available here, just sat. and at almost $80 a month I am just not going to pay that.

I understand. Back in kansas high speed wasn't available there either. We had to get it through satellite which was at least 4x as much as dial-up. As much as I use the computer/internet if I was on dial-up I would be sitting here all day.
