The last time I was in Phoenix, I was on a large cruiser motorcycle, I was stopping to visit with an old Army buddy as I passed through headed to CA. I passed a bank with one of those Time and Temperature signs. It was 5 something PM and the temp was 124 degree F. I pulled in at the next restaurant I could find and stayed there drinking iced tea till the temp dropped to a reasonable 90 degrees. Several hours as I remember. I swear I could have fried and egg on the tank of the bike. No thanks, you can have that dry heat.
I remember survival training at 29 Palms (Marines) and desert training in the Army in CA as being a real test but I was younger then.
I'm a morning person, but I still don't like DST. The Sun and the Earth don't change, leave the damn clock alone. We are creatures of habit and only change when there is sufficient need, I simply don't see the need to change the damn clock twice a year.
