Hey! It's actually 67 degrees with light rain this morning. I guarantee there will be people wearing jackets on their way to work.

The last time I was in Phoenix, I was on a large cruiser motorcycle, I was stopping to visit with an old Army buddy as I passed through headed to CA. I passed a bank with one of those Time and Temperature signs. It was 5 something PM and the temp was 124 degree F. I pulled in at the next restaurant I could find and stayed there drinking iced tea till the temp dropped to a reasonable 90 degrees. Several hours as I remember. I swear I could have fried and egg on the tank of the bike. No thanks, you can have that dry heat.
I remember survival training at 29 Palms (Marines) and desert training in the Army in CA as being a real test but I was younger then.
I'm a morning person, but I still don't like DST. The Sun and the Earth don't change, leave the damn clock alone. We are creatures of habit and only change when there is sufficient need, I simply don't see the need to change the damn clock twice a year.

Hope you enjoyed the cool weather!

Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather Wednesday in Arizona, because temperatures are going to be heating up. Temps around the Valley will top out in the upper 80s. Look for just a few high clouds and light winds. However, strong high pressure will build back into the southwest by the end of the week, bringing a spike in temperatures. Valley highs will near the 100-degree-mark, Friday and Saturday which would be near records for this time of year. Historically, that last 100 degree day in Phoenix, on average, is September 28th. While triple digits this time of year is unusual, it’s not out of the question. The latest date that we’ve seen a 100-degree temp in Phoenix was October 23rd in 2003.
