Honestly folks, it wears a bit thin after a while it's getting like the 'Jade Goody' saga on Sky News!! Or at least post all comments in the one thread labelled 'Obama'. Nick

Thanks Formula88..I looked for that facility, but couldn't find it And I DID post it in 'humour' because it was more 'tongue-in-cheek' than serious I checked in 'prefs' but couldn't see it there.. Nick

Nick--go to the main forum index--the one that shows all the sections. Click the little '+' to the left of Off Topic. It will drop down a list of options to exclude or include. It should look like this:
Click on the politics to make the little politics box empty--like this. \/ Anything marked as political will not show up in your OT index.

Go ahead folks turn it off, you won't get two sides anymore. What you will get is the twisted media hype and cover ups you have been hearing since BO started running for office. You may be finding your self chanting in unison in a few months. Whatever floats yer boat I guess. I prefer to keep my eyes open.

So you rely on the O/T section of a car forum to get balanced factual info on your president? Perhaps you should consider other sources!
This may come as a shock to some Americans, but the entire planet isn't really interested in eating sleeping breathing your politics.
Trust me, if the tables were turned, you guys would get plenty tired of reading about Prime Minister Harper and Canadian politics (or the Brits, Aussies, etc) in every second thread within O/T.
So spare us the Obama whining and hand-wringing in non-political threads, eh? Thanks.

I don't know about others, but sometimes I like to hear what is going on in other countries. So do tell.......anything interesting going on there? And no, I'm not being sarcastic...

The O/T section of this forum has a lot of intelligence in matters other than cars. Fact is that no matter where you get your information, discussion of said information allows one to develop other questions of interest pertaining to the news. Should we really trust the news organizations ? The truth comes from challenging the news.

What he means Bear, is the dismay in reading along a non political thread, contributing to said subject, then finding it is suddenly hijacked right out of the blue by someone who just can't resist turning the thread in to their own personal soapbox to bash or praise Obama--or the other side. That's rude behaviour IMO. Plenty of marked political threads to interject comments in without having to seize every single subject matter possible.

Isn't that what "politics" is for in the first place?

Thanks, that sums it up well Don, except I might alter "dismay" in the first line to read "dismay and disgust" at this point.

Do a search here for much of anything posted by loafer87gt and you'll find an example of something "wrong" with Canada. Unfortunately he never seems to post much of anything he likes about his home and native land.
Oh, and one other thing... Loafer blames anything and everything that's wrong with this country on liberals. Whether it's the rain or cow flatulance or the color of turnips, liberals are to blame. Interestingly enough, it's conservatives who've been in power federally for the last three years, but that seems to be lost in the details.

Cliff, I'd be delighted to read a first hand report by a PFF member who personally knows Obama and who hasn't got a political axe to grind.

Well, at least you have one of the most beautiful places in the world to live....so I've heard. The people that built my house went up there ten years ago somewhere and brought back pics and it was breathtaking.
I'll have to check out what Loafer's got.

It seems odd that a topic with "Obama" in the title would surprise anyone that it is, was, or became political.

Sounds like Loafer is a smart man who has the right idea. Can we find *any* state/province or country that hasn't been f***ed up by liberals?

We were referring to other threads--not this one. Threads that were non-political in nature but people decide to just interject politics in to them just because they can.

Fierobear just doesn't seem to get it. I'm noticing a pattern here.
