Can't someone hijack a Nike Plane and drop a whole mess of sneakers on them? How funny would that be?

I know that no matter who the President is, someone won't like him but, he is still our President and I don't see this act as a personal attack on just him, I see it as a personal attack on all of us. Others obviously won't or don't agree. I'd be just as ticked if it had been Clinton or Bush. But then, I see the office, not the man in this.

No, I am not suggesting that we bomb anyone except maybe the organization he represented.

Ron

What disappoints me is how people make fun of a president they don't like in this manner. I'd never laugh at Obama being attacked in any manner. But I guess the rules must be different for those on *that end* of the political spectrum.

Having voted for Mc Cain I guess I am on your side Fiero bear.
The thing that crossed my mind was my wife.
She has a uncanny way of catching things in a split second.
She would have caught both shoes...........one in each hand.

The president of the Canadian Arabs Federation, Khaled Mouammar, is now saying that the man who threw the shoes is a hero of the arab people. He said that him and other Canadian Arabs celebrated after watching the video of the shoe throwing incident and other footage of protestors burning the American flag. He said that the man's action showed the true feelings of the Iraqi people. Guys like this are a real asset to our country, I tell you.

Has to make you wonder what the response would have been had one of these asshats throw a shoe at their old pal Sadam.

Throw a shoe at President Bush and you are labelled a Hero and get to live. Go to any other Arab nation and throw a shoe at their president, king, dictator, etc and see what happens.

well, way back when they toppled the statue of Saddam, that was the big thing - they all gathered and beat the statue with their shoes.

we all know the basic truth of: you cant make everyone happy
dont we? anyways - great change was thrust upon the Iraqi People. many many people were killed. if you think that everyone is gonna be happy & sweet about it - you are seriously delusional.

and, it amazes me that people seem to have forgotten that we captured & hung Saddam. This should be hoisted up and celebrated as a yearly national holiday. Well, "we" didnt hang him - but...

and - the fact that an Iraqi Citizen can get up and do that - AND SURVIVE - says we have come a long way

Possibly true.

Its also quite possible that some of his friends and family are dead or permanently and horribly disfigured by the war.

Excellent point. See, there is a silver lining to the dark cloud. President Bush, OUR President wasn't injured and this jerkwad is still alive and not being roasted over some coals.
Regardless of who our President is, all Americans should be insulted over this.

Going with a previous suggestion, I'm thinking we should load a B52 up with American made shoes (steel toes and shanks, good heavy duty boots, all left) and drop them on his family and his place of work.

No, I don't know what you mean.

It's great that citizens of Iraq now feel "free" enough to protest, but throwing objects, be they shoes or grenades, at another country's leader is not acceptable behavior.

You squeeks !! Sadam would have put him in the wood chiper head first, and possibly killed a few of his family members..just for good measure in the rest of the Arab world this man would have been shot or in deep do-do.Most of the other newsmen thought this was a dispicable act.Al qaeda,,and the majority of the moslem world who hate us and thier democratic allies who have helped Al Qaeda demean and slam out War leader are joyfull at any thing that slams the president ,,most of the democrats on this site have little respect for America and dislike Bush who creamed Al qaeda in Iraq,,over 10,000 alqaeda members killed you only look at the bad and ignore the victory,s our soldiers have achieved I was opposed to our invasion of Iraq,,I am amazed how good this has turned out for the USA.we are at WAR ..
Democraps support of our enemies help kill american men and if you think this is not true you are a real moron lib,and have no knowledge of intelligence & Propaganda Thank GOd for the patriotic Bush and the great Big Dick Cheney,,I am not a Bush supporter but he out did my expectations in Iraq,,A great war leader !!
You anvil head squeeks better get it in gear look forward get your USA on up high.

The "reporter" is still alive, has not been beheaded, boiled in oil or drug through the desert by a rampaging camel, that is change.

Change will not happen overnight but, change will happen as the Iraqi people learn more about the rest of the world. That change is what the fundamentalist fear most.
