I am trying to reassemble a laptop for someone and I can't seem to find where these two wires from the monitor snap onto the motherboard.

Here is a picture of the motherboard, maybe someone can show me where they snap onto it?

I don't see the connector either, but the wires are only so long and i bet are "shaped", so it should narrow down the area of possiblites to look.

All i saw was for the keyboard, odd..

EDIT: Is that a connector up just beside that insulation tape, up near the top by the copper fingers?

What do the two wires look like?

Are they the typical flat ones, or plugs?

I am thinking up by the cooling fan, can we get a picture of the connector and another of the MB that is at sort of an angle so we can see connectors, or better yet clear enough for me to read it.

from this pic you can see the wires are actually quite long, but they go towards the right side, so I assume they connect on the right side somewhere.

Sorry, I can't seem to get a decent detailed pic.

#1 looks like the plug to me
#2 is a strong second
#3 is a contender for the mouse pad
#4 is a strong guess at the keyboard
#5 is not marked, but that's probably it.

Are they thin wires, metal end connector?

Do they go to your wireless card?

All of the photos you posted are the same one, so we can't see the wires you are telling us about.

Laptops with diversity wireless antenna have two antenna, and one large connector for the display. Those should be the only three wires through the hinge assembly.

PS: It looks like a Toshiba laptop.

There are 3 wires coming from the screen. 1 big one on the right and I know where that one goes, the other 2 are together and snap onto somewhere.

The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite. It appears to be the A75 model.
MB says Hann Star
edw10 LA-230
Rev 1.0

maybe here is the problem, its made in CHINA lol

The plug on the right then?
Are the two wires for the wifi, or the monitor? Cause if they are for the wifi antenna just look under for where the wireless device is and the plug (should be) right around there.

The two wires that you see are antennas for a wireless cars. the black will me main and grey is the aux for the card. If there is no wireless card leave them alone. They are put into most lcd asemblys from the factory. I repair laptops for a living so if you need anything else let me know.

The two white plugs on the board, one on the right, one on the left...

Those are your antenna connections.

Plug em in.
Route the cabling around the board so that it fits without being stretched.

Don't leave us hanging man. Let us know at what point you just start hitting it with a hammer. (or if you get it)

those white plug things are for the speakers.

This laptop has built in wireless.

I think someone already tried repairing this with a hammer.

Hmmm. This isn't the Toshiba with the wifi chip embedded in the board then?

Sorry bout that. Then they go to the PCI slot where the wifi card is.

Those two wires in the pic are the WIFI antenna. Find the wifi card, they will be on there. I dont think it really matters which is which.

Its not unheard of those to wrap around to the top of the MB either. Almost all wifi cards are modular though, so check anything that isnt part of the board itself first.

Anyone else wonder what those four large transistors with matching IC's are for? The ones on the right middle of the board. Just seems kinda odd on a laptop MB.

OOps i was thinking actual LCD connectors, those are antenna wires. if you don't have wifi or bluetooth then they just dangle.

just read this. Carefully remove the two antenna wires from the card, then remove the card as you would a stick of memory.

then it dawned on me, I flipped the thing over and found the card right where the memory is and yep that's where they connect.
