Just got back from the movie and can say that Looked cool but I would go see Iron Man again instead. Witch was a greaet movie. It was a uniqe combo of animation and live action. At one point you think the movie is over then it goes on for another malf hour. I give it a 6 of 10.
I saw it. It's a great family movie that the pre-teens will like better, unless you are a true Speed Racer fan. It was my favorite cartoon when I was a boy and the movie did follow the story pretty closely, from what I remembered. Iron Man is a better movie for teens and adults.
I'll end up seeing it for nostalgia since it was one of my favorite cartoons when i was younger. Ever since i heard about the movie i've had high hopes and low expectations.
Hopefully I'll like it.

We just bought both Iron Man and Speed Racer on DVD. We would have had them earlier but we had to wait for the English versions. I have to say that Iron Man is totally awesome and certainly a must see movie, even if you don't know who or what Iron Man is. As for Speed Racer it is not bad, but you can't even begin to compare the two of them. They are two totally different movies. If you are going to only go and see one of them I would say Iron Man hands down between the two.

Bootlegging is a Federal crime. But so is smoking pot. So, here's hoping you twisted a fattie while you watched your movie!

LOL Actually here in PR even the police when they are at the flee markets and booths will pick up a DVD or two. Some of the DVD's are new release movies that of course were filmed in theaters so the quality varies but are almost always still very good to excellent quality, but many of them are actually copies of pre-screening DVD releases sent to the theaters and so these are as good as the ones you would rent or buy which is pretty sweet. We went to the big flea market in Aricebo last night and p[icked up a bunch of new movies. Tonight we are going to watch on DVD The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and then Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull They said next weekend we should be able to get Sex and the City and The Strangers. Not sure about the Sex and the City one but The Strangers one sounds interesting. In the next few weeks we should be able to get Kung Fu Panda, The Happening, The Incredible Hulk, Hancock, Get Smart, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Wall-E and a few others.

The reason why everything here in the states is worthless everywhere else.

well the numbers are in and it did bad. The budget for the movie was 120 million and them movie only did 20.2 million. with 20.00 being mine and my kids.
quote from cnn Directed by the Wachowski brothers, best known for the "Matrix" franchise, "Speed Racer" was panned by many film critics. Fellman added the movie would have difficulty recouping its $120 million budget.
"Unfortunately it didn't perform to our expectations," he said.
