I like the Zune theme, when i get home I'm going to try to mix it with the transparent bars in Transbar. I'm sporting the ATI EarthSim screen saver to compliment the Hubble desktop(s) I like, although it really demands a lot from my processor and memory. I only let the screen saver run for 20 minutes or so before the monitor goes dark.

Since we're talking about XP Themes, does anyone know anything about Vista Transformation Pack 7.0? I thought it would be fun to have, but the ONLY thing I want out of Vista is the transparent windows; the rest of it I do not want! Is there a theme out there that simply gives you transparent windows?
<bump to add> I'm trying the free version of WindowFX as well. Says it needs a decent vid card (no on board video!)
Pretty zoomy Vystal, except my single-core processor gets bogged down and it doesn't play nice with Firefox extensions.
(more stuff)

Okay, Vista Transformation Pack was buggy and bogged down my system. I dumped it.

Did you get this fixed? Came back to this thread after reading the new one. Oh and I'll plug eBoostr again like I did in This thread. I haven't done the SpeedMeasure Tool to see how fast it really makes my XP machine, but it feels faster for the hour I am able to run it on the free demo. Last, I've got TransBar set so it is pretty see-thru until you move your mouse over it. Just enough eye candy to keep me happy without making the CPU lug. Thanks for the DisplayFusion link in the other thread. If I could afford an identical monitor I'd be big pimpin' EDIT TO ADD: WooHoo! I got a deal on a second, identical KDS 22" widescreen for my rig. I feel like a baller now, yo. Oh, and I'm trying Madotate for now. Don't know if I like it or not, I'm waiting to see what the impact on my system is over the long term and if I can adapt to It. this is a good presentation and from youtube: and I'm getting the XP SP3 from Our pals at Microsoft reviews say it makes XP faster?

Hey all, I found ShellEnhancer and replaced Transbar wit that utility. It doesn't seem to bog down my OS, so I'm likin' it. Also, over at StarDock, they have Boot Screen skins (another freebie), so I'm using something that compliments my 'universe' theme. The Madotate program has a rather ugly icon that is added to the top bar, but it is a small efficient program. I like it, but I don't use it much. But the Vista Start Menu is pretty sweet. I'm using Firetune for my current version of Firefox.
OK...had to go widescreen(20" CRT was taking up too much room on the desk...went with a 22" widecsreen LCD)...and then decided to try out windowblinds(I was using the Zune theme...but got bored with the orange coloring of the start button for one).
I like it too, but after a few minutes of searching I came up with this one. I like it A LOT better. Sorry to highjack the thread.....
I am NOT alone!! I thought the 'done, but with errors on the page' at the bottom of the main PFF page was something to do with my system..but you have it TOOOO!! What causes that? Nick

I've actually ended up dropping LiteStep in favor of Explorer again. I kept getting crashes on right clicks.
Funny i have been using LiteStep for a while and have not had that problem. Did you try different themes? I have noticed that some themes can cause different problems depending on what version of what module they are using for the operational parts of the theme. But here is my current LiteStep them with Windowblinds Ares theme.
I like LiteStep because it can use a whole lot less resources than Windows Explorer and you can still get the same functionality out of it.

I was using the Zune theme for a while and then got tired of the orange start button. Then I got the Royal Noir (using now) but the start button is also bugging me.
This happens when you are about to click it or when you do click it. It turns back to green.

Now can someone here make one (start button) that matches the color of the Royal Noir theme. I don't want it to change back to green. Also make one that matches the Zune one. Same color as the taskbar in the zune theme, don't like it orange.
