I kept trying to hear it, playing it over & over, could not hear it.

Then, discovered the mute was on !!! Turned the speakers back on, and OUCH !!!!

I could hear it !!!!

I could hear it, but it wasn't really a ring tone-worthy sound. I'd imagine that's pretty much what a dog whistle sounds like to a dog. If I don't want someone to hear my phone ringing I just turn it on VIBRATE. It really isn't that hard of a concept, and it got me through school without the teacher hearing it.

Totally cool. I love that. My host brother had that ringtone, and my host parents were so confused.

48 here. A little bit of volume and I can hear it just fine. I'm guessing the level at which it's heard by us "older folks" is where the trick is. We may be able to hear it, but it has to be a bit louder, maybe louder than a cell phone ringtone. Although, I don't know that for sure since I'm not gonna load it up on my Razr and give it whirl.
