This car is for the Red Lake Reservation Dare program! Some of you may remember the Red Lake High School Massacre that happened up here a while ago. Well, based on that situation and an increasing amount of violence, drugs, and other wonderful childhood characteristics, the dare program is stepping it up a notch!

It is a 1999 Ford Crown Vic. It is a real police car but it has been "upgraded". This was a joint effort between a local stereo shop and our police outfitting shop. This car has lights, radio, siren, etc... everything needed to give you a ticket for playing your stereo too loud!

It uses 8 10" kicker comp subwoofers, 1 850x2 mono amp, and 1 650x4 stereo amp. All new kicker speakers inside with a kicker head unit. This thing is LOUD and sounds great! What a blast to test drive!

I must be tired....but what's the point of the subwoofers in the back of that police car? So when they give you a noise violation, they can shove it in your face and drive off with stereo at full blast?

Pretty cool cruiser. 8 10" subs should hit pretty hard!

Not to mention that if they smoke weed, they're more likely to be mellowing out. Instead of listening to angry rap songs turned up full blast.

I guess I don't see the big deal with that much stereo equipment in the back of a police cruiser. Are they actually going to be using it to its potential? How could they pull kids over for noise violations if they're setting that kind of example? For me, 1 little sub would be enough. All I want is decent bass inside the car that you can feel, I don't see the point in going down the street, windows down, making nearby houses shake.

haha. Well, it is not an actual cop car anymore. It is a dare car. It will not be pulling anyone over. It just has all the equipment to do so.

Haven't you seen the fiero dare car? Or the viper dare car?

It's all about show. Supposed to makethe dare program fun!
No, it is not the finished install either. There are a few more shrouds and boards to fabricate to smooth it all out.

Ahhhhh, ok. When we had the DARE thing come to our school in the 5th grade, all they did was have an assembly in the cafeteria, then they left. No car or anything.

We got a lot of Dare cars around here in different police depts. There all confiscated from drug dealers. Seen everything from Mustangs and TAs to Lambos. Id have fun being a Dare officer and driving around all day in a Lambo.......think of the fun youde have.........

When I quit racing stock cars, I took a 84 Tbird I raced, took the bars out, put turn lites in the front brake ducts, tail lite slits in the rear panel and did promos with the Hooter Girls ( Hooters sponsored stock car) for a summer before they gave it away at a raffle at a Nascar race. I drove it around here to shows and promos with only the racing headers. They finally pulled me over and said if I kept driving it around I had to put mufflers on it. They let me get away with it for a long time since they knew it was just a 'show car'. Got some strange looks driving down the interstate....but never asked to race.... It was just exactly like it left the track, signage and all except for the minor changes to make it street legal.

Yea, the DARE program didn't ever "influence" me to do anything one way or another. I think it's a bit of a lost cause, but at least they're still trying...
