Who knows, a lot can happen by memorial day.
For the next location I put down Monterey, CA. I really liked that place. (Solvang did come close though)

Fun news for our itinerary. Our Reno club will be working on our People's Choice awards project. Rumor has it also that one of our favorite Emcee's, Anthony Sisneros, will be joining us.
If there are any other clubs available to help out on this project we could use help with the goodie bags and items for the raffle.
Thanks

A few questions from our group. Is there a hotel rate for Friday night? I think we will come on Friday its such a long drive, then we can enjoy Saturday and Sunday until we have to head back. Are we thinking about an event for Friday arrivals (Friday, Saturday Sunday)? Or are we doing Saturday, Sunday, Monday events since Monday is a holiday? Any idea on our show n shine location? Is that something the hotel will let us do there? And any ideas on the drive location ? Will we do a dinner at the Pea Soup inn again? Any idea on fees? And shall we put it out to the group for ideas on some fun awards? I would like to post something on our page when we have some sort of schedule of events or at least more details once they are worked out, so keep us posted please . Also when you can get me the logo I can try to work it into the awards project.

Doesn't sound like there would be a whole lot to MC but it sounds like a fun ride. I keep missing the Coast Run (okay this year, I PROMISE!) so maybe I should just ease my way back into the Fiero scene with Solvang.
Anyone from Fieros West that want to go up with their Fieros, I'm taking my truck so you just gained a whole BUNCH of trunk space if you want. It would be nice to see some Fieros as I am still without one and in the long slow process of digging out garage space to get one.

Kym,
Friday night rate is $107.00 for those that want to arrive early and enjoy all the wonderful entertainments of the area. So far we picked that weekend because of the Monday holiday so we are planning events for Sat, Sun and Mon only. If there will be a group coming up on Friday let me know if they would like a get together planned.
We picked the hotel due to its HUGE parking lot. They will be letting us partition off the back area for our cars on Sunday morning to "show and shine" before we head out on our drive.
So far our drive will be out to Lompoc, Santa Barbara and back to Solvang. I am waiting to see how many are coming before I can figure out parking arrangements at locations for lunch...etc. If anyone has any experience or knows of any special places we should stop at please let me know.
So far Pea Soup Anderson's is the choice for dinner. They have several rooms for different sized groups that can accommodate us. Need to get those reservations in so I know what to plan for.
So far the initial itinerary is a pretty fair idea of what we will be doing. There might be a parking fee in Santa Barbara. I'm trying to figure that out when I know how many we will have coming.
The Bear is working on the logo and hopefully it will be ready soon.
If anyone has any ideas for the People's Choice award categories please post them to the thread.

Sorry Mar, I'm not on facebook either and this site won't allow me to 'lurk,' so I hope you keep posting any information here and/or to the Yahoo! page as well.

It is very interesting keeping the pages alive on both Facebook and here. Based on the activity on both threads we are going to have a wonderful gathering. Reno club Prez, Kym is doing a wonderful job and we should see a lot of Fieros that we haven't seen at a Westfest in a long time.

Sorry I'm not on facebook. The local Hudson club facebook site isn't blocked for entry somehow, so I can 'lurk' and read what's new, but just not post. My high school class reunion site is protected so I can't enter it either just to observe the conversation and any pictures posted, but I understand that's probably got some more personal content. Thanks for keeping the important info posted here as well! Really looking forward to getting together and seeing everyone!

Just got interesting news. Pea Soup Anderson's has a deal on their website that if you pay for two nights (not the group rate) then they give you one night free. Good for those wanting to come in on Friday and stay til Monday.

You guys come here ,Monterey Area. Just like most places there is alot of options. Drive Carmel Valley Road out to 101 , Laureles Grade , 17 mile Drive , the Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca could go on and on .
Last Chance!!! Room block ends tomorrow 4/25/2103. The hotel is almost booked up for that weekend. If you don't take advantage of the reduced rates tonight you might not even get a room. Please reserve now!

Hey Fiero Fans The Bear and I will be driving down on Friday. Anyone who will be arriving early let us know so we can meet up. The GGF group has a caravan leaving early Saturday am from Morgan Hill, CA. Anyone interested let me know and I can send you the info. On Saturday night we will be meeting up at the Bit O'Denmark Restaurant in Solvang for dinner about 7pm. After dinner expect to find everyone hanging out by the pool at the hotel. We might get some games going with the ladies if anyone is interested. On Sunday we should be meeting up about 9am in the back parking lot of the hotel. Hope to head out about 10am for our drive. Drive will consist of heading out towards Lompoc and stopping along the way to see the flowers. Bear and I plan to check out that section of the route on Saturday and find us a nice parking stopping spot for pictures. Then we will continue on to Lompoc Wine Ghetto for wine tastings. If people are hungry after that we can stop on our way to Santa Barbara at Hollister Brewing Company Restaurant in Goleta for brews and burgers. They have a patio area that allows dogs. Then on to Santa Barbara to the Old Mission Santa Barbara and enjoy some history and the Street Art Festival going on. Finally we will return to Solvang for sight seeing and rest before dinner about 7 at Pea Soup Andersons in Buellton. After dinner we get to hang out and have fun talking Fieros. On Monday we head back to Solvang for a breakfast of Aebelskivers. YUM!! There are a few GGF members staying on in the area that are not returning until Tuesday. Anyone interested in joining them please let me know. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!!

Mary and I arrived safely last night. Today will be mostly a relax day. We will be doing some running around, but if we are here, we're in room 109. Come see us.

Just a quick note to thank John and Mary and everyone who was able to attend our weekend in the Solvang area! It was great fun and so nice to see everyone--including the members of the North Dakota Fiero Club! We missed all of you that couldn't make it, we hope you are doing better, and that we can meet up again soon!
