Hey Pete, is it definitely an Eckerd Drugstore or is it the Rite Aid off 100N?

I am working on getting a gopro HD2 for the weekend (my brother works at a cinema equipment rental house), so looking forward to having some cool footage shot

I'm hoping that my steering on my new to me T/A won't be too much, I'm taking a chance bringing her out. Theres about 1" of play in the wheel and those quick turns/ high speed cornering/ rapid elevation changes are going to make things interesting- not to mention I'm not anywhere near used to how she handles yet.

So I went out today and plotted the route. Yes it is Rite Aid Drugs in Fogelsville Pa. Its right next to Rt.100 just north of Rt.78. The course is 80 miles. Alot of up downs twisty curves hills and even going over the Blue Mountain. Road conditions are good. No issues with construction oil chip etc. No we are not going 100mph!!!! Its a cruise not a race or time trial. The idea is drive a good pace and enjoy the scenery. Directions will be handed out in the morning. We as usual will stick together as a pack. I hope you like farms rolling hills animals historical sites and best of all a really great event in New Tripoli we will be going to at the end of the cruise. If you cant stay no big deal. Its a quick drive to the main interstates from there. So 11am Rite Aid Drugs Fogelsville. PLEASE FILL YOUR GAS TANK BEFORE ARRIVING!!!!!!! We will be stopping for potty breaks snack gas and scenery spots along the way. Ohhh we will be visiting the grave of a murderer who died in the 1880s. And also some other spooky sites. Your host Pete will fill you in. My cell 484-767-0617 any concerns questions notify me promptly. Lets have a big turn out this time. Remember no dues no registration just driving and having fun!!! Thanks your Tour Guide Pete

I'm pretty sure everyone was burning out on that turn (it was beyond awesome how steep it was), hell I smoked the tires real good. What I recall is a certain 3800 powered Fiero doing a brakestand while we were stopped on a road

Pete I can't wait, thanks for going through the trouble of planning things out. Looking forward to saturday.

While the convertible can hold it's own through the curves (it is a regular at Run For The Hills), I don't know that the duke/auto is up for a 100 mph sprint. Never tried it with the top off, but 90mph acts like it wants to suck the top right off this thing. And...I don't think it will win the burnout contest either.

Regardless...I will be there. I will be bringing my camera (no GoPro this time, friend needed it for that weekend)...but generally the pics we provide for RFTH events are taken by Sharon from the passenger seat. She won't be coming, so I might be limited to pics while stopped...unless someone wants to ride along and operate the camera. The convertible is great for taking pics from because there is nothing blocking the view.

Car is almost ready to go. I drove her tonight, and she ran great. Just need to finish the center console and throw the other doors on tomorrow.

Sabooo...sending you a PM in a moment.

I just want to clarify that the 100mph comment is not something that Pete goes for in this cruise, we all enjoy the scenery and our cars on the beautiful winding roads of PA. You have nothing to worry about as there is a nice and safe pace.

I just happened to have done a full suspension overhaul on my Fiero and finished a week before the cruise. That was the first time I ever really put my Fiero through its paces, and I was a little more aggressive than the rest of the group hanging back a bit and doing a few sprints to see what she could do

Most of you missed the tire-burning I remember from one of Pete's first cruises in NJ...made by a certain VW powered Fiero Although most of the group that was there missed it too since he did it while we WERE LOST from the rest of the pack. Hahaha, good times.

I thought tire smoking on the Pocono cruise was when *ehem* someone locked the brakes up!

I am sooo stoked for this weekend!! Day of Fiero cruisin' Saturday and then seeing, hearing, and smelling every type of SCCA car on Sunday. Add some beer (when not driving), grab a cigar, and eat some sort of freshly killed meat and that's a man's weekend if I've ever seen one!

Hehehe, that was a fun feeling. Just about getting air and doing a brake check at the same time . None of that nonsense this time though, my trans am is rolling on 315s

I really wish I could stay for sunday, that sounds like such a cool event!!!! Sigh, its already bad enough that I had to drop $300 on gas/tolls/temp tags for my trans am this past thursday. I can't justify finding a room for the night and dropping that much more $$$

Yeah...I knew you were joking around about one of the "extra events" that tend to happen at these kind of gatherings. The convertible will go as fast as I am willing to. It may not be fast, but it gets there in style.

I don't go anywhere without my humidor (throws up all kinds of alarms in airport security). Glad to see I won't be banished from the gathering for lighting one up. Gotta stop by JR's tomorrow to fill it up....no mail order for me, I live practically next door to their warehouse.

I just thought I would put a shameless plug in here for another cruise. This one will be in Michigan, starting on October 12th a Friday. It will run through Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. It will be a total of about 800 miles. I just came back from a weekend of scouting the trip. It is the second time this summer that I have scouted this trip. It is set to be a color tour and we will also be seeing Salmon jumping a dam, it should be a pretty good time for the Salmon. We will be visiting a total of 5 Light Houses on both the Lake Michigan and the Lake Huron side of the state. It will basically follow the shore line from Manistee on the west side of the state all the way over the top of the mitten to Kawkawlin on the east side of the state. In some parts it will be twisty and hilly and in other parts rather straight and flat. Visit the Capital City Fiero's web site to see updates and more information on this color tour.

I would hope to see some of the Fiero people from out of state come to this tour. I guarentee you will have a good time.

I am really looking forward to Pete's trip this coming weekend. He always runs a great trip and has a terrific area to run these trips in. I love the countryside in Pennsylvania with its twists and turns, hills and valleys and the terrific combination of old buildings and new houses. It all makes for a memorable trip.

Planning out the menu for Friday - Burgers, dogs, wings, maybe brats, salads, veggies. Bring your beverage of choice unless you like Yuengling Lager, then you can have some of mine. Small crowd so far, so lots of room for anyone else who wants to drop in.

Would like to get an idea of when the festivities will be ending Sunday, though.

Chance of rain for Sat is 40% as of now. I'm hoping it stays that way or goes down, I haven't even driven the T/A in the rain yet and I don't even think the tires are up to it.

We are still on the road. We have about two hours left to go to Allentown. We lost a lot of time in traffic jams on the hiway due to construction in PA.

Tomorrow we go to BMWGURU's to talk about a possible upgrade. I am really looking forward to this weekend.

I wish I was going to be part of this get together. I had nothing but a GREAT time on Pete's last cruise. Wish I could get the time off to be there.
Anyone on the edge and not sure if they should be thee, GO, GO GO. Pete puts together a cruise beyond words.

Good to hear you made it without incident Madmark!

Ok so I've never shown my car- let alone driven 250 miles and then shown it haha. So, what should I pick up tomorrow so I can give it a quick cleaning?

Also just another heads up that I'll have a couple stock fiero parts that anyone can have free, if you have the trunk space and want it- take it! I don't want to throw good condition parts out. I'll bring the mod/resto parts I have in storage to sell too.

Very excited!!!

I don't think it really counts unless you have driven it a reasonable distance. I wouldn't consider the convertible to be show worthy...but after these last updates (which were finished a full 18 hours before I had to leave), I might be surprised at how well it shows. Interior looks great now other than the floors...exterior looks much better with the new doors...with a quick cleaning, engine compartment looks good. Perhaps I should run it through a car wash on the way. But darn it, that means I have to put the top on.

Sabooo...is there a car wash near you that I could run it through on the way to the cruise? Needs a good pressure wash in a few places to get some old grime off the doors from the parts car.

Leaving at 8am...Google says it is a 9 hour drive....should put me there between 5 and 6 pm.

There is a car wash on the way, plus a garden hose and a bucket here - whichever you like. Meg's car needs to be washed before Saturday, too.

Just a couple painful hours of work and some well needed sleep tonite and it will be cruising time. Im very glad everyone is excitied about this weekend!!!!
