Well, Garth and I have knocked out quite a bit of the wiring on his car. We didnt get as much done as we would have liked. Funny how life gets in the way.

Here are some pics:

Sunbird GT brakes & tubular suspension

Wiring the engine

MS3

How is the parts pile bigger than the car?

You should have kept the N2O. Many people use a quick burst pre-turbo as an indirect way to spool quicker and avoid turbo lag.

Tomorrow i need to mount the battery relocation kit (Norms) and route the wires. I have an AWESOME mod for that. The wires will be almost completely hidden... its gonna be SWEET!

Heat wrap will destroy your pipes over time. Jet hot is worth it.

Ya a 25hp shot on a Turbo car will do amazing things and the bottle fill will last forever. However oddly enough I don't see a Turbo on this car. I scrolled through page 1 and 2 looking for a Turbo but didn't see one.

The 3.4 Twin Cam is on my bucket list of motors to put into an 88GT. Its the motor that should have been released in the Fiero. Especially a Turbo one, that would have kicked the butt of all cars on the road in that era. GM might have needed to include a driver training course with the price of the car, but still would have been totally Kickass.

I heat wrap all my Y-pipes and downpipes. I haven't had a single failure in 20+ yrs. I also, don't keep my cars very long... LOL

I think I finally got Garth to admit he will never boost this car. Its an absolute fantastic car to drive as is. Well, not like it sets, but you know what I mean. So I'll keep going on the little things I can do here and there. Garth plans on visiting again in a few months. I think he forgets this is setting in my driveway.

That's a shame, 3.4 makes a nice boosted motor. I seem to remember fierosound doing a crazy one.

Garth is just too busy. I know he wants to do it. Its a time thing. The car has plenty of power as it sets. I am trying to talk him into putting a cage in it. He says he will look like a dork driving it on the street. LOL He forgets that it has seen more track time than street use.

Not too hard to do a discrete cage, I think it's a good idea in any car with a good hp/weight ratio.
