I am thinking of making a computer chair out of a Fiero seat. I think I saw FieroFetish had done this. Anyone who has done this could you post pics, build ideas? The Fiero seat is so comfy maybe I would use my home desktop more. As it is now I am at a computer at work and my back doesn't really like more of the same when I get home.

Years ago, I used a Fiero seat as a computer chair. It was really comfy. As a matter of fact, I wore it out. Unfortunately, Fiero seats (in decent condition) aren't so easy to come by anymore. So now I'm stuck with a typical office chair.

I have my passenger seat from my fiero as my gaming chair. What I did was remove my computer chair from it's base, and drilled four holes through the wooden seat pan in the computer chair and used for bolts that were long enough to properly torque the fiero chair down. It's the most comfortable seat in the house and whenever I have people over we all end up fighting for it. I'll have to get a few pictures of it and post them here for all to see.

I have a fiero seat as a computer chair as well. i just took the base off of my old office chair and put a peice of plywood on it and bolted it to the seat. however, my seat is all torn up so i put a cheap seat cover over it.

Not quite a PC or gaming chair, but I built a trailer to haul a Fiero seat behind a go-ped, and yes the speakers in the seat work too.
It has a Fiero seat with working speakers in the seat, 6x9s, an EQ, 250 watts, a foam padded MP3 holder and a cup holder, all wraped in EL wire that beats to the music. and a cooler full of ice cold beer to hand out. (not seen in pic)

Thats what I planned to do
It won't be a mint seat, might have a stitched patch or 2 on it

I did this a few years ago with my old seat.. I made a small square wooden base for it, and mounted the seat to it, then added some computer chair style castor wheels to the base and it works great. Mine is real low to the ground too, only sits about 6 inches off the ground, so its like sitting in a car when you sit in it.. Makes it fun when playing my racing games on my game consoles with my steering wheel.. I want to make a mount added to the chair i can mount my steering wheel controller too.. Havent gotten around to that yet.

Do you have any pics of the EL wire lit up? I'm going to be putting EL wire in the dash and door grooves of my Fiero.

I did that years ago... (like a decade plus now. 1998-1999) I used the original seats to my 85. I had replaced the seats with Corbeau's, so the original seats were re-bolted to engine dollies that were customized (read as cutting off the vertical parts that bolt to the engine block). The office chair bases I had were too tall. The engine dollies made it easy to wheel them around. I used metal spacers at the front to tilt the seat back. I had the speakers connected, but the wires got in the way sometimes. I used the 4 pin HDD power connectors to be able to plug and unplug the speakers at the seat using UTP 16 guage in-wall speaker wire back to the amp.
I no longer have them... Kind of miss it.
