How do you get approved to refinance a existing loan on $150.00 a week? I worked three jobs and had to pull teeth a few years ago for a personal loan and im 50 with perfect credit. I jockeyed car parts for $7.00 an hour, along with a full time and another part time job. Good luck and continue to work and better yourself
hmm well sounds like you're hiking in the right direction getting insurance.. let us know how the drivers license goes. drive easy and try to save on gas... thats one expense i noticed can be reduced dramaticly. also TUNA-FISH SANDWICHES! they make great lunch and are very cheap. saved me over 20 bucks a week when eating at work. make sure your car is maintained constantly. save yourself the blown out tires or engines. keep air in the tires. oil in the engine and coolant in the radiator. take your girlfriend to a movie and nice dinner when you save up a couple bucks (im not very skilled in this department so ... use your judgement) sounds like life is giving you lemons right now and you need to know the recipe for lemonade>>> you have to make it! good luck and dont give up

I do have to say, driving my GT is sweeter now than when I first got it. Almost losing it made me appreciate it that much more.
Yay! Adulthood! Hahaha, thanks for the welcome guys. It's good to be part of the group. (Well, I'm sure some would still say I have a little growing to do yet, huh?)

You said 19? Man, at your age, I was fishing off of the same boat. Mistakes? Yes, but you learn. Hitting your thumb with a hammer isn't even fun once. You seem to be handeling yourself quite well.
In some states (like Missouri) it is possible for a lawyer to go back and "revisit" an old case.
Say that a person gets in the situation that OP was in.
You get pulled over and get a ticket for not having insurance, but you have it.
Then you get pulled over again months later and go to jail, plus more tickets.
You get out and go to court, and the judge says you are guilty on all counts.
A good lawyer (not a public defender) would start at the first ticket, file paperwork to bring it back, and clear that from your record, then go back, revisit the reason for all your tickets (bench warrant, and suspended license), and show that since the first case was dropped/cleared...... You get my point.
In any case, it costs the same, or more, but the long term effects are not there like paying a fine. Your insurance doesn't go up.
Glad you are getting stuff going again.

The underlying problem here seems to be "laws". You're just 19?...Set your goals on becoming a lawyer and you will work out your own problems without our advice. Heck, $150 a week...you'll be making that before lunch on Monday!

It's funny that you guys mention the military. That was the plan my whole life. It was my dream to serve as a Marine. That dream has been crushed. I have a long, well documented history of severe asthma. I was betting on it going away by now, but that hasn't happened. It has vastly improved since I was a child, but it is still there. As a child I spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals, and although I am no longer that severe, I still can't get by without medicines.
Anyway, I am glad that this thread has taken a slightly lighter turn. It really has made me feel better. Trust me, I have felt pretty s***** about all of this, and for a bit there I was regretting this thread. I love this community, and it hurts seeing some of the people I respect sooo much telling me that they are losing respect for me. I don't want to have a crap reputation because of a few mistakes I made. Bottom line is, the only person who got hurt in all this was me. Yes, it could have been much worse, but thankfully, that didn't happen. That's what's important. I get to move forward and learn from this. I can't tell you how much I realize the importance of this lesson, and the luck I've had thus far. I am going to try and fix my legality behind the wheel tomorrow. I am going to try and take out a loan to cover my overdue ticket, reinstate my license and update my tags. I'll let everyone know how that goes.
I suffered lung failure before I joined the army; exercised my way out of it and it was never an issue while I served. Let's just say in theory that if you don't mention it it isn't likely that anyone will find out. >_>

I don't know if the Marines accept people with asthma, atleast not in Combat MOS's. I know the Army lets people in with Asthma, I believe it limits you to Non-Combat MOS's but not sure. Either way you can still serve, you just have to maintain and control your Asthma, I know people that have Asthma and carry a Inhaler around with them. I would check into it.
The entrance standards and disqualifiers at meps are the same for all branches. If he mentions Asthma he'll be **** out of luck unless he can get a doctor to prove that it was only when he was a kid and he can pass a methacoline resistance test. Best not to mention it. At least as of back when I enlisted a few years ago.

Man, not that tuna fish sandwiches aren't still good... but I totally remember when I was in my late teens / early 20s and broke. Either unemployed, or just starting out with a "youthful" salary.
I'd survive on boxes of Mac & Cheese (for like $40 cents a box), Ramen Noodles... although I tried to stay away from them because they just weren't very healthy at all. Cans of tuna worked well... you could get cans of Albacore (mixed, not pure white) for real cheap... and a single can was really all you needed for dinner.
A bottle of cooking oil, a pot (with lid), and a container of corn kernels on the stove, and you've have a ton of pop-corn to snack on.
It's amazing how well you can make due when you're totally broke. You really lose sense of NEED vs WANT the more money you make...

TheRealShadowX. Here, I'll make it easy for you....back to the top so you can re-read and maybe have something sink into your "rules, regulations and laws apply to everyone but me" part of your brain.

Hey here's another bump so YOU can reread where he CLEARLY said he knows he was at fault, was just venting about stuff, and has made it right already. Just felt like you needed to throw in your negativity after the fact because apparently there's a shortage? What part of your brain thought what you typed was anything other than trolling in a thread that was finally mellowing out?

His self reported actions speak a lot louder than what's been written in this thread. In my opinion, he still doesn't get it. If you don't agree with that, you're entitled to your opinion. It certainly isn't necessary to turn my statements into a personal attack just because you don't agree with them.

Looked like you were committing the same unnecessary act. I just don't get why people feel the need to jump the guy even after he made strides to correct things. What are people trying to accomplish? Why am I speaking up? Because someone should. He didn't commit a "mortal sin", but people are treating him like he did. I'm not trying to make this personal with you or anyone else, but cut him a little slack already. With all the stuff going on in the world right now, and even some of the stuff that has gone down on this forum, you'd think there would be better things to express outrage at. Just my opinion.
