Okay, so ever since I joined the fold a year ago I've wondered what the "bump" was all about...what it meant. I had hoped to figure it out over time, but have failed to do so at this point. Therefore I am putting my pride to the side and raising my hand to ask...
It simply refers to "bumping" the particular topic you are reading to the top of the page, in case and/or because you want other to read your most recent response. Hope this assists you.

What does "BUMP" mean here??????
First just let me say, LMAO!!! alright, now that I have that out of my system a bump is when someone wants to keep an article going and therefore they post "BUMP". It will then show up as the most recent article with a Comment, reply, Post... whatever...\
Nope not the dumbest question ever.....if you do a search for "stupid question" you get this:
Question: Fiero's engine in the trunk or front hood ? Really stupid answer !! (by CoolBlue87GT, started: 04-09-2010, last post: 2010-04-09 23:33:07 CEST) Found this in http://www.chacha.com/quest...n-the-trunk-or-hoodA person is asking this question:Q: Does a Pontiac Fiero have the engine in the trunk or hood Some guy answers with this response:A: The engine for the Pontiac Fiero is located in the front hood of the car.
So you can see, your's is not too dumb at all. Keep asking, lots of answers in here.

Your question wasn't dumb. I remember way back in the day when someone told me "There is no such thing as a dumb question" but in the past few years I heard an addendum "but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots."

LOL!! Classic!
And I prefer "Alley-Oop!" occasionally, instead of Bump. (But then, I'm strange. Ask anyone. )
And let me be the first to say (at least in this thread) "Welcome to our obsession!"

Ya, I find the real idiots are those who know they don't know what they are doing, but refuse to find out what they need to know...just look to Washington, D.C.
I've always said that it is better to know what you don't know then to know what you do...
My obsession with these cars is hitting critical mass...I only dream FIERO.................................

I read in one thread that you can go to your preferences and delete the thread, but I can't seem to see how that works. What you can do is go to your profile and modify it so you don't allow the moderator to email you with stuff. Set that select button to "NO" and that should keep you from getting any emails. The only problem is that if someone does reply to something you want to know you'll have to check manually.
Hopefully Cliff will enlighten us on how to just remove one thread from our subscriptions...

Nevermind, I answered my own dumb question. Just back to top of the topic and hit unsubscribe.
