How the hell can you claim an impressive 400 HP at 5700, with only a truly sucky 403 ft-lbs?
For perspective, there isn't a Vortec-headed 383 on the planet making less than 450 ft-lbs.
A 9.1:1 Vortec 383 with NO porting can do 449 HP at 5600 rpm, and 486 ft-lbs at 4200. Torque on this one exceeds 437 ft-lbs from 2400-5400 rpm.
Throw those old heads out. They truly, madly, deeply suck.
