I just finished refurbishing this 84. I have about 120 test miles on it since the redo. 4 speed with tilt wheel and radio. Runs and drives nicely after lots of maintenance on a neglected car. It is painted with Rustoleum, which to some will make it non stock. I paid $200 for it, and now have about $900 in it. I plan to use it as the daily driver during our rainy weather, so it should get lots of use ! It has 126,769 miles on it. The PO put new tires on it, before parking it. Two tires have less than 2000 miles, the other two less than 400. They are several years old, but no cracking. No blowouts at 70mph, so good to go.

NOW THATS A AWESOME FIERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ looks just like mine. love the steel rims!!!! Please post interior shots. 84s RULE!!!!!!!!
Here are a couple interior pictures taken today. The seats are real nice- but covered with sheepskins to keep them clean. The originals were bad, but a friend came to the rescue with a really nice set out of one of his parted 84's. . I installed a new headliner and cleaned up the rest. It was pretty good inside, since the car was owned by a lady for many years and she was pretty easy on it. The motor is cleaned up but not much else. Installed new stat, and Dickman mid temp fan switch. 210/220 as I recall. Installed new plugs, wires, rotor/cap and it runs well. It does idle about 1200 according to the dash tach. I have not checked it with a tester yet. I also put rebuilt calipers on the front and adjusted the e brake. It has the best brakes and peddle feel of my 3 pre 88 Fiero's.

I am also a huge fan of the stock 84 Fiero. My car has a young 7,341.8 miles on it right now. I officially bought it from the original owner in 2008, but have been taking care of and maintaining it since 1991. The car has spent it's entire life in a climate controlled airplane hanger. It is all original except fluids and filters. The original R-12 is in the car and cools to 50 degrees. Tires are original, while not as good as a brand new Eagle GT, are pretty close. They still feel soft unlike the classic fate of typical dry rotted rock hard Eagle GT's. The car is a perfect example of how meticulous care and maintenance preserve a car. It is nice to be reminded of how nice and tight these cars were when they were brand new. The car was bought and delivered on New Year's Eve of 1984 and has never had the original license plate taken off of the car.
The significance of this particular car is that it is a identical clone to the Fiero I drove on September 22, 1983 for the public introduction at the Pontiac Dealer.
Excellent string guys, thanks, I really enjoyed it. I love my little red '86 1/2 GT too! Except for total suspension and ignition up-grades, it's totally stock, and my Mr. Mikes matching gray seats (still have the stock ones in the box, in good shape). I so enjoy driving it and getting tons of compliments, and show it as a daily driver, with 104K miles on it now. I so agree with Boozer's comments! That's a gorgeous black '86, by-the-way! I think it was and still is the finest looking American production sports car ever made. Jimmy S's side scoops are my next addition (just have to finish and paint them), because they should have had them in the first place! My son will inherit mine, and then he'll have two beautiful Fieros.

My wife and I used to have a '87 with a 2.5 (151) / automatic. We bought it new in March of 1988 from a dealer that my wife used to work for. Traded it in on a new Eagle Talon in 1993 after our son was born.
We recently became Fiero owners again when we picked up this '88 Formula 5-speed earlier this month. Just under 58,000 miles on the clock and all of the original paperwork including the window sticker were included.

Bump. I know there's more out there. Doesn't have to be 100% stock. As long as it takes a few minutes to figure out what is different from stock then it's close enough.

Here's my stock Fiero image. Its a 1988 GT T-Top #603 basically all original with almost 40k miles. I've already driven her over 1000 miles in trips down to Atlanta to check out Whodeanie's shop, and also to Gatlinburg last weekend to cruise with Pete Matos and FieroAndrew in the mountains.
