Here's my 86 SE its stock except for the GT wheels (which are not on it at the moment because I got tired of pumping up those sorry tires everyday). Everything on it is stock or pretty close to stock. If the funds are right this year I'm going to get it repainted in the stock gold and black.

I had to switch out the wheels, the others were flat. Otherwise, with the exception of the aftermarket AC, this one is stock. Oh, and I had put the cold air scoop on at this point.

They were definitely semi-gloss. I remember well when I bought my first one, an '86 SE V6 in early 1987.
When I think of Semi-gloss, I am seeing something shiny, and those things were not shiny....but they were not flat like wall paint either.....some people describe the finish as 'satin', which is what the bump-strip is supposed to be too....

From what I have been able to determine from a set of NOS ones is that it is what is classified as a 60% gloss finish - not sure how that fits into the term of semigloss.

Aftermarket AC? How does that work?
Thanks for the info about the vents. I was just curious because when I got my car it had been repainted. Someone told that my vents were painted because they don't look like the stock finish. They aren't too glossy but aren't satin ether.
This is a great forum. Glad i found it. I may need to get some help with battery drain. My battery on my 87 drains about every 2 days.
OK...but if your car is stock, you need to put a picture of it here.....it may take you a while to figure that out...but that is the initiation fee for getting your battery problem fixed.

hmm is one of the little details the fact that its a RHD?
ohh and i spot 2 more differences... the body color molding and the spoiler looks like its on an angle pointing down at the front
You're right about the RHD and the body colour molding. I think the spoiler is stock though unless anyone else says otherwise? I've seen a few different variations of them so I just assumed this was stock as it doesn't look modified.
Don't mind the door skin... That is being replaced this season. Currently though... I have the dual 90mm headlight buckets, poor man's wing delete and unpainted Fiero Fiberglass side scoops installed... not stock any more. Sorry.
I think the real reason there are so few stock Fieros on this forum is due to the fact that fewer and fewer are worth keeping bone stock. Unless the car is from a salt free region of the country with ultra low miles, it will never be worth anything and one of the draws of the Fiero is the ease of which body panels can be replaced and modified.
I do, however, still have all the stock parts/panels so they can be put back on... I have not done anything destructive to my car.

It has 120,000 plus miles and runs great. I love this car.
I'm going to look at another white '86 GT this weekend that I might buy for the wife, it has an automatic. She doesn't like the manual transmission as much as I do. I have a lot of fun with it. I like keeping the RPMs just under 2000 when slowing down so that the fuel doesn't shut off and it rumbles nicely.
