If you ask me it is kinda ugly.... those mirror shrouds look way too big and the rear end looks like in some iteration of design could have been cool but that is just too much.... I dunno..... just too busy looking. I think that at some point there were some good ideas there but they got lost in translation.... peace
Some good ideas but way to busy and too many angle directional changes. It seems to be a kit car as i highly doubt Pontiac would have built 12 and somehow let them out to the general public especially a prototype and one that used the fiero as a base.

"A concept car" that was "built on an '86 donor car" ?? Riiiight.
In 2000. So they used a 16 year old chassis. Plus! The first registration shows 2005... So apparantly this chassis sat around for 16 years unregistered and then they built this concept, 12 of them, at which point it sat around for another 5 years before it was sold... and subsequently registered.
Can I have some of whatever he had please?

Hmm... if such is true -doubt it very very much- it would explain why Pontiac got the axe. Yeah the mirror thingies are way too big!
This is obviously a Fiero kit builders concept car. Not a bad creation but somewhat odd looking.

Concept 2000 GT is the name given to the conversion back in 1986. The kit was developed by David Tidwell of Country Auto Body in Largo Florida. It sold for $13k. Info is from Fiero Secrets March 1990 issue.

From sellers add:

This car has no official name because as it's name reflects it is a concept car, a future Pontiac that never went into production.
So it does have a name, Concept 2000 GT. It is not a future Pontiac that never went into production. Pontiac had nothing to do with it's design or creation, excluding one of the cars Pontiac built being used as the chassis.
The car itself is okay, though not my cup of tea. The add posted for the auction is... A bit factitious.

Out of all the weird and ugly creations I've seen I really actually like this one! It's rare as I think I've only seen pictures once before. Nice car
It keeps a lot of the fiero look + adds a nice little hatchback style and a nice rear end. I'm not as fond of the frotn end but that probably is easy to work with if it's the only thing you don't really like

Well I see this as a cross between the 3rd Gen Camaro and the Fiero based Patriot car they did years before.
While parts of it are ok it just does not work together as a package.
This is a good case study of too much of a good thing does not always make it better. Good design takes balance ... even a model enhanced too much can be made into a freak show.
But if that is what anyone is into that is their choice. Someone has to love the freaks too.

Umma Thurman,,, now that is funny right there..... never could understand her appeal, if you take her face only she is actually quite ugly.....come to think of it not much of a body either..... Thankfully I am NOT one of the thirty!! That car COULD have been really cool if they just stepped back a bit and calmed down some of the details. Just too damn much... pity....peace

Although I don't like it, there is a lot of good things about it. At least until you get the back end. All that creativity just too flip the GT tail lights upside down - not alot of imagination went into that part of the car. Reminds me of a lot of the rice cars. Looks like one guy desigend the front, one designed the middle and somebody's 5 year old slapped the back end together.

I thought I would put a few of the pictures up for everyone. The car is different and I like a few things about it but the few bad things really kill it. This way the car will be in the thread for all to see.

I think this shot right here is what absolutely kills the car for me. The wheel stance isn't anywhere near aggressive enough, and they're so small and the body so high that it makes the car look like it's a funny car dragster. I think if the rear wheel well were more opened and the wheels a bit more pronounced (such as a staggered setup) it would really help the car's looks.

The back is also too stubby and the front fenders far too high not to mention those attrocious looking rear view mirrors. The surpising thing is that the owner expects and believes that this aweful looking contraption is worth about $15,000. Reminds me of something that you would see in Mexico. Strange looking cars are plentyful down there.
