(possibly a repost?)

A few years ago I came across on eBay a car called Concept 2000 GT. It looks like it was built on an 87 or 88 chassis and it has all Fiero interior. It also looks like a heavily modified GT "Fastback" Does anyone have more info on this car?

The mirrors are HUGE. I think i would like it more if the nose was diff and the taillights didnt look so pointy on the edges and of course the mirrors. Sorry, i know you didnt ask for critiqe, i feel a tad expressive tonight. What you think of the car?

(responding to Chris' post)
If the mirrors were a bit smaller and the rear lid ended flush with the spoiler-looking thing (raise the tail lights a bit) I wouldn't mind it. I do like the entire front end though.

"What you see here is a '87 Pontiac Fiero GT with a 2000 Concept GT modification kit. Interior and Engine is still a Fiero stock original. The rims are 15" Compomotive LC rims and front tires is 245x35x15 and the rear tires are 345x45x15 "like race car tires". It's been in the Knotts Berry Farm Kit car show and won 2nd place with the help of recently exterior mods that my fiance did. The car was built in Florida by a A to Z Emporium and in the Nov. 94 issue of Kit Car magazine it states that it's suppose to be a replica of the Turbo Interceptor in the 80s movie The Wraith starring Charlie Sheen. But you are looking at one of the rarest exotic cars on the market. This fine automobile is 1 of the 12 cars ever produced, this highly collectable mid engine sports car truly belongs in the hands of a sports car enthusiast. Its a car you truly can enjoy driving but also a car that no one else will ever see. It is said that of the 12 cars produced, only 3 are left here in the United States and the remaining 9 have been shipped overseas. I know one other person who owns a White Concept 2000 GT *You can see it at LarenMotors.com* There is a small featured article in the hard cover publication called... Dream Cars, Top Style and Performance by Denis J. Harrington and in the Nov.'94 issue of KitCar Magazine there is a 2-3 page article about the Concept 2000 GT. It is said that the kit alone cost $75K. This goes to show its rarity and worth standing tall next to the best in the sports car market. It can be pictured next to the finest including Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. The Concept 2000 GT deserves nothing less. To give you a little background, the Concept 2000 GT is built on a 1987 Pontiac Fiero Chassis. The fact is, this Concept 2000 GT is not as you can plainly see a Fiero. This is not a home made car, or anything of the sort. This car was built with the intention of mass production ! The Concept 2000 GT is in excellent condition with all fiberglass bodied mid engine car and truly drives like a fine exotic sports car should ! The Car is still in modification stages and I plan to do more to the car such as Interior changes, Possibly new paint color, Thinking about a Engine Swap to V8, Changing the Rims, etc. I just never have the extra time or funds to further any modifications. After doing some research is was said that the Concept 2000 GT was made to be a replica of a Dodge Turbo Interceptor and modeled off the car featured in the 1980s movie The Wraith but you can clearly see the car has fallen into a category of it's own ... RARE & UNIQUE !!! Even I am often puzzled by what the car is exactly bcuz it a angle it resembles a Trans Am, Camaro, Ferrari, and who knows what. But I can tell you that it is a once in a life time chance to be able to own such a beautifully crafted car. And I am pleased to offer this rare opportunity to the public, for someone to acquire a fabulous and rare collector piece to be proud of, drive and enjoy!!! If you are looking for the head turner that no one has ever seen, this is certainly it.

NOTE : A few pictures were Photoshopped to make it stand out but the rest are regular non-edited photos. You can view more by visit our website @ www.MySpace.com/Concept2000GT
The pictures of the white Concept 2000 GT belong to LarenMotors.com"

There's a white one located in CA and was at the WestCoast Show several years back. Here's one at a 2007 show.

So it's supposed to be based on the Turbo Interceptor from the movie "The Wraith"? I guess the lines are similar but not as nicely done as the movie car.

I have my eye's on the wraith kit and a really nice ferrari 360 kit. The difference between a Fiero and a Ferrari is "I will call you tommorow" and "What do you want for breakfast" simple as that.

I just watched "The Wraith" a week ago. I had seen it several times and I remembered that the car was really cool. X years later, the car isn't that cool anymore. The movie got really cheesey over the years, too! In several of the shots you can see the Chrysler symbol on the hood of the car.

I can see that the kit has had some influence from the movie car but I wouldn't call it a "wraith kit". That would be a major stretch. I think it looks more like the Pontiac Banshee concept car.
