Hey, this was supposed to be MY page!!!

Well, I've only been working on this for over a year now. If he starts now, he can beat me done and lay claim to being the first to make one of these.

I won't even comment on the heated seats, especially THAT one.

Oh lord, you would ask for updates!! sigh... he is still working on it... he hasn't had much chance to get it finished since he's had a ton of stuff to do to the other fiero's, like put a new engine in Kuro, finish his rims, and swap rims/tires with Ariena, fix her emergency brake, she's due for an oil change, Kuro now has a problem with her steering column switch, she doesn't want to turn off and release the ignition key.. Armond has a hood/fender that got swiped in a hit and run so it will need to be replaced/repainted yet... Max just doesn't get the chance to work on Sno'ball much, so he really needs to take his next vacation and just do that... get his hood finished, fiberglass his wing to the body, and replace a section of his dash that got busted, oh yeah and the right side door latch... plus the door mechanism is screwy on the left side... sigh... plus he was going to swap out door panels to remove the bottom trim along the door...

That doesn't even include the new dash trim kit I got for Greye!! Oh yeah, and Kuro's new gear shift knob, Ariena's needs a shorter shifter, and Kuro has new quarter windows that Max has painted twice now and still has to strip the paint down to the fiberglass cause it bubbled!! Plus Ariena has raised wing stands which need the bolts drilled out of the originals cause they are froze in place!!

Well you get the point... sigh... Doesn't look like Sno'ball or Ariena is getting painted this year, although maybe later in the fall one of them might... I'm sure Max will eventually get in here to commiserate as well!! lol

Well, as the wife said, the project has taken a back seat to other concerns of late. She forgot to mention the 3 exhaust systems I have repaired, as well as the one I still have to do. Outer window seals on son's car, high beam switch to repair, Daughter says her ignition key won't work right. Brake problem on the truck.......... Well, as I keep saying "No rest for the best...."

As soon as I can get back to this, I will update, I promise.... Now you know why I called this threat "STARTING on a new hood vent. God only knows when I can finish it....

Thanks

Max

laugh... Max wicked? He's nowhere near wicked!! Me on the other hand... grin... When I'm good, I'm very, very good, but when I'm bad... I'm even better! laugh..

Well he has made progress, I think he's got the exhausts done... got the ignition switch replaced in our daughters car, did the dew strips on the sons car... know what's wrong with the truck brakes and have the parts on order...

Now if that implies he might actually get to do some work on Sno'balls hood, I don't know.. he does have vacation coming up soon... just depends on the weather I guess..

Did I mention he has a gear shift knob to put on, fastback quarter windows to re-sand and re-paint and put on.. plus a ton of other stuff, I think he's got 2 cars needing oil changes.. sigh... we won't even go into the car lists I have typed up... oh yeah, he also has a dash trim kit for the maroon one too we just got...

I do try and keep the yard mowed so he doesn't have to do that... oh well.. it will eventually get done... or not... lol..

LOL You know me too well. That's why I always say "No rest for the best....."

I did finally get to do some work on this hood. As for the fiberglass side windows.... well, I repainted them and the paint wrinkled up... AGAIN!!! I'm about ready to sand them down and take them to a body shop to paint, I'm sure not having any luck with them.........

Here are few pics of the hood as of right now. One side is pretty much ready for the finish work. I had to add some more glass to the other side due to the sides were not angled enough inward. Hopefully soon I can prime it and put it back on the car so I can put the extra hood on Amethyst's car and start repairing her hood where my son got hit by a hit and run driver in a pickup over the winter...

Well you all have a great day

You're kidding me... AGAIN!?? Are you trying to put the clear coat on before the paint is dry on those windows?? Hey, at this point I'd say put them on the car and forget it... either that or get a can of spray paint and have at it!! <-- Hey, couldn't be any worse, could it??

Oh and you forgot, once you get the hoods swapped out, and you get mine fixed... then you get to do Ariena's... Jason wanted those mustang scoops in it...

Oh yeah, nice hood for Sno'ball... he's gonna have a better hood scoop than Armond!! Not fair... and a better paint job... again... not fair... but he doesn't have as good of rims though... heh... I want better head lights....

You're right.. no rest for the best!! lol

Wow, has it been 3 months already!!!

At least I have been able to get some more done to the hood. Here it is as of today:

The underside done in white primer. Still have a few tiny dots to fill with spot putty but I will let that go till next year when the whole car gets painted. Tomorrow I turn it over and finish off the topside. Then It can go back on the car and I can start repairing Amethyst's hood damaged by the hit and run. Hopefully this week I can call this project completed, maybe even before I hit the 2 year mark!! (I's so pitifully slow.....)

Oh yeah, here is one of the headlight doors I shot with the primer while I was doing the hood. Came out nice I think.

Everyone have a great day!

I'm beginning to wonder just how lucky he really is!! lol.. it seems like he no sooner gets one thing fixed on one fiero then he has 2 more to fix on 2 other fiero's!! I am glad to see that he has Sno'ball's hood almost finished... poor Sno'ball has had a purple hood for so long... laugh... at least it won't be primer gray either so it will actually match the rest of his white paint!!

Yippee!! He got Sno'ball's hood back on him!! Took off the purple hood so now he matches!! I won't spoil Max's fun by posting his pictures, but I did make sure he took pictures of the hood in place! Plus a few more angles he didn't get...

Which means now I got the purple hood on Armond so his hood can be repaired from the hit & run accident awhile ago!! Then my son gets the purple hood so he can have mustang scoops put in his!! lol... then my daughter if she wants scoops on hers... but probably not cause I don't think she overly cares one way or the other... laugh...

I've only started the cutting process on mine and ran out of time before I had to move back to school. If you want to see how far I got, you can hop over to my build thread. Link is in my signature. We'll keep this thread about his awesome hood and work

Finally got some more pictures of the hood for you. This is how the hood looks now:

Still needs some fine work to fill in pinholes, but I'll do that when we repaint the car in the next year or 2. I like it on there!

And a few pictures of my car's companions:

Here is another little project I have been working on for this car.

16 inch wheels from a Caviler Z26. Filled in the Chevy Bowtie on the caps, painted the caps, put on some ZR-2 decals and clearcoated.

Turned out pretty good I think. Thanks to Member HDFire for a great price on the wheels!!

Have a great day!

LOL That's not ALL you do in the garage. Sometimes you have a cat in your lap getting petted......... And occasionally you drag something out there for me to find a place for.......

I think I better shut up while I can still type.........
