Wow i had really hoped he was cleaning up his act ?

loyde if you are out there at least step up to respond and show good faith.

$900 is no small chunk of change. Ouch.

* edit - ok i see you have been in contact with him, so it is a timeframe issue vs no contact. Hey at least he is responding something that others claimed was lacking before *

Loyde is a crook, and the worst part is that he's still taking peoples money.

Someone should REALLY do something about this **** . Not just bash him, appearently people still give him coin. You people need to sue him and get your money back WITH interest!

Just go to a junkyard, get a new 3800 harness (na, supercharged, whatever), get some C500 / C203+passthrough connectors, and spend a evening tossing it together...

It might take you 3-4 hours after you have the wiring stripped down.... Thats if you have NEVER done wiring before.

edit

So again, why would you pay $900 for a few hours of unskilled work?

Also, it takes NO investment up front so, why are people like you paying $900, then sending your parts to be worked on.... When you could just as easily pay him after it is done and ready to be shipped.

No offense Darkhorizon, but it's not quite that simple, nor does it get him his $900 back. There are a few step by step instruction threads on the internet here and there. You should be able to dig one up if you feel like taking on the challenge. I recommend getting the pass key box from west coast fieros. That's the simple part.

Just checking, have you tried to contact him in anyway?

Its a shame you have had to wait this long, let alone be out $900. I was hoping that
he got his act back on track. Hopefully things work out for you sir, one way or another.

$900

I thought the going rate was around the $400 mark.

How did you pay? If you used a credit card, call them up and have them reverse the charges - sure you may not get your harnesses back, but at least you will get your money back (although 7 months might be a bit long, but can't hurt to give them a call and try).

7 months is a bit long to be waiting on a harness, you need to take action now to try a recoupe some of your loss - don't wait any longer...

I wish you luck my friend. I know a guy who's car has been at his shop for almost 3 years now. Still no motor in it. I'm sure he feels your pain. Eventually people are just going to stop sending him business. I know he's had it hard, probably harder than most, but that doesn't give him the right to treat people this way. let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

OK, I am lost. Help me out here.

Why would you need a passkey module? No 3800s2 swap has needed one, and if one was used they were most likely just wasting money.

Your knowledge on the subject at hand seems to be fairly limited... its not like I have done 5 wiring harnesses for swaps or anything....

NOTHING is going to get $900 back from loyde.. he is a crook, has always been a crook, and always will be a crook.... There are many many mutli page threads on this.. and he is banned from the forum as well. I personally would have rather burned 900 $1 bills and cooked an egg with it instead of sending any money to loyde

I've done precisely zero 3800 swaps. So my knowledge is also quite limited. How do you get around the passlock whatever bs?

Believe it or not, wiring isn't something that everyone can do... People have different skills. I can do basic electronics, no problem.

I can't weld... and I'm not willing to take the time to learn how to do it properly. I don't want to screw around with burning holes in my pipes and spatter everywhere...

So I'm going to get my exhaust done by a shop, and I'm hoping that it will cost little more than a grand.

You should ask for a full refund, if not, you can always sue like they do in the good old USA...

Maybe you can figure it out on your own with your friends (best choice!), or try a local auto tuning shop... I wouldn't deal with that guy anymore.

i had loyd do my harness . took about 4 months. he promised it in 2 weeks. he also programed my pcm .it never would keep idle rpm after a breif coastdown in gear ( 5 SPD). just got my pcm reprogramed by sinister . he also sent wires and pins to attach pcm to tranny speed sensor wires were missing in loyds harness.. haven't had time to hook it up but i bet it's right now .i've been in bussiness now for 20 years doing a/c work . all our work is referral. bad thing here is the pennocks vender list has no way to rate venders. i wrote pennock about the likes of fiero conversions of canada / jimmy's automotive and custom . no response. their still on the venders list lurking among the good venders. loyd , nowhere near as bad as fiero conversions just not what i would call good. any good bussiness person knows that doing what you say your going to do is paramount .i just think loyd is unable mentally for whatever reason. all i can say is better plan on doing it yourself or find another source ( sinister). i'd also petition pennock to remove fast fieros off the list or petition pennock to have some sort of rating system for its vendors list

How is it people are still dealing with this crook, he still owes money and or harnesses from years ago and people are still trusting him.
I am very sorry for your loss but this guy is about a s crooked as you can get and should have been banned from here years ago, unfortunately his lackies protect him and help get others to trust him so he can rip off more people.
The answer for the pass key is to have it turned off within the PCM's program which is very easy to do if you have the right equipment.
The going price for completed swap harnesses that work and look like they belong is around $400 not the $900 he gouges people for. Dan

I do NOT believe this for 1 second - wiring is not as much of a black art as some people like to make it out to be. IF you can hook up a garden hose to water the lawn, you can do wiring - YES it is that simple, power is here, needs to go there, so you put a wire in between. Wiring diagrams should be viewed as nothing more than a road map (yea, those things we had to use before GPS). It just takes time (more time if you are new) and a willingness to try - the only thing that would prevent someone from doing this is a lack of patience (so I guess I am wrong, as these people shouldn't do any wiring).

Back on topic...as I have said, you really need to start the process of getting your money back. Some people can talk and talk while stalling. If he has issues, he should stop doing business, but I guess the temptation of free $900 is too much for him to walk away from.

Contact Mike Gonzalez on this forum. He did my harness in two days and it works perfectly and it was nowhere NEAR what you were charged. Ryan(Sinister Performance)is great too. He programmed my ECM to my specs and it works flawlessly. Two great guys to know and they are both top notch in my estimation. Cut your losses, get your car running and deal with Loyde while your car is running.
