I drive a Fiero to not attract attention. The only time I see peoples heads turn is when there are a lot of us driving together. I guess seeing 10-20 Fieros driving without bursting into flames draws attention from the masses.
I whole-heartedly agree that our Fieros attract very little attention, considering what they are. Most people (in my opinion) are totally and completely "out of it" when it comes to Fiero's. It is rare for me to get any type of looks, compliments, etc... on my 86 GT. Well, at least from the public. I get far more noticed by the "competition". (those who see it as a threat)
The other reason we go unnoticed (I believe) is because everyone is pre-occupied with his or her own life and they are busy trying to get from A to B in this land of SUV's and Mini-Vans!

Yeah - they turn heads. Funny story (sort of)... a few years ago at World of Wheels..
Voytek had his Yellow GT in the show with us. Young 10-year-old kid and his buddy come around the corner "Oh Wow! A Ferrari!" They get closer and look at the display sign for the car "Oh, it's JUST a Fiero." In just a few seconds, the car went from being the coolest thing they'd seen at the show to a P.O.S. I guess their Dad had already "educated" them.
EDIT - Voytek bought a Corvette and sold his Fiero. He's long gone.

Yeah, the ingleside one. I saw some fox bodies and a few 4th gen f bodies and even a DSM last time I went there, so I assume the Fiero would be acceptable. Its certainly less common than the ones I mentioned.
Yes, people do stare, stop, ask, take pics, just stare, walk around it a few times... I was at the car wash saturday and had to entertain a guy and his girl friend. he was all excited about seeing a Fiero, and she wanted to sit in it and have her picture taken, in muliple poses. Mostly when I fill up somewhere new, I'll get someone walk past and stop, then I get asked "is that a Fiero?" and then of course "someone owned 3 back in the day with blah blah blah... but havent seen one in a while... but thar one sure is bad" It is nice though to have people appreciate the car however, it did take the little Pontiac this long to earn some sort of respect.
i do however always feel as if one of these large ass SUVs are going to try to pull into the same parking spot one day while I am already parked. =-O

I've only had mine for 3 days and I've noticed some heads turning. I think it's mostly just younger people who have no idea what it is, but there are some older folks who have pointed at me when I've driven past them.

I test drove mine around the block and an old guy on his porch was staring at me all the way through his field of vision. Was probably my lack of an exhaust system... :/

I'm with the ones that say "no". My car, while not nearly as nice as some of the cars here, isn't that bad looking. And yet, most people that walk by it at a show, or when it's parked while out on a drive, either don't notice it, or laugh and say "yeah, a Fiero". There are still a few of them running around in my town, so it's not quite the rarity it might be in other places. About the only place I've ever gotten a complement was at the local World of Wheels show, usually from someone that also owns one and happens to pass by it while at the show.

I would say people turn their heads when they see one, especially former/current owners.
When I had a Fiero, it never saw the road for a few months because I had to fix it up a bit. But I'd work on it in the garage, and when it was nice, I'd work with the garage door open. Well, one day while I was working on it, my neighbor stopped on by (I've never really talked to him much) and we conversed about the Fiero. About what I was doing to mine, and how he use to have one that he had some "custom" work done to it, etc. Really cool, in my eyes.
Another funny story actually just happened a couple weeks ago. I was just driving around aimlessly (not in a Fiero) because it's starting to get nice and warm here. But I pulled up to an intersection, and saw a nice Fiero, fastback, zoom by. I wanted to pull out, but traffic was kind of heavy. So, by the time I got out behind it, I was a few cars behind it. I kept following it until I was the car right behind him. I followed him around for a bit, until he pulled into an auto shop. Turns out it was just a mechanic that was working on someone else's car. All the mechanics were taking turns ripping around the town in it. They wouldn't let me take it for a spin, though. I miss having a Fiero!

I get ONLY positive comments and lots of turned heads - and that's in Miami Beach where Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bentleys, Porsches, Maseratis etc. abound.

I have never seen a single person look at my car. I have an absolutely mint yellow Formula, and I am one of two Fiero owners in my city, yet nobody looks at it or talks to me or anything. The only compliments I've gotten were from two people at this insurance place when I took it in to get inspected for full-coverage. One guy was just a worker there, and he was spitting on himself about how nice it was, and the woman doing the "walk around" complimented how clean it was. Makes me a bit sad

Around northern Ohio I get a few looks but not much. Out of this area I have had people nearly run me off the road. One guy in Indiana went by me on the left crossed over and then drop back on my right and then go behind me and back past on the left.
Younger people are the most drawn and the older people are like this is the cleanest one I have seen in years or I don't like Fiero's but I like yours. Or the ever present I used to own one.
But just drawing looks for being a Fiero really not much here. Just this week end I saw 5 on the roads driving around. Most of them were daily drivers I see regularly and two were nicer and may have just come out of storage. Fiero's here are not a big deal and are a common site. MR2's on the other hand are becoming a rare sight since they mostly rusted out.

If it's in nice shape a Fiero will turn lots of heads. The wedge styling is timeless, especially the Gt fastback. Looks a lot like a Lotus. At6 gas stations, I've have more people come to over to check out and ask about my 86GT -the black one below- than my 69 340 cuda. Thye will really a lot of ricer heads too. "Hey, cool car, what is that?"
Stock 86 notchy, paint is mostly good but wheels are cheap & stained plastic...and still:
- I notice reactions while driving about every other day on average, surely I miss most. - Converstions struck at parkings, at least once a week. - Youth with intrigued inquiries, 4-5 times a month. - People walking around parked car, 1-2 times a month. - Ladies' interest...NEVER! (my wife reads this stuff)
