So this is just out of curiosity, I'm not a Fiero owner yet- but I wonder what kind of reactions you guys get riding around town and whatnot. I personally have only seen 2 Fieros in the last 6 months, saw one this week and gave the guy a thumbs up. They are pretty rare around here and sweet little cars, I wonder if they are attention getters haha. Of course this is probably the least significant reason I'm buying one, but always good to know what strangers think of them at first sight.
In my experience, yes they are head turners. Just the same as any older or rare car is. Like a restored '68 mustang or corvette. Being that most people have forgotten about them, it raises their interest. Even in my stock Fiero 10 years ago, people were always looking at it or asking what it was.
Yep. Although sometimes they get the attention of the ricer crowd. Kid around here that has a 3000GT and doesn't hesitate to find my car when its out. Another one that drives a WRX. I'll have a little surprise for him when it comes back! But all in all the car attracts all kinds of attention, even from the older guys that are driving the well built hot rods. Like it was said before, there's really not to many of these around anymore, Mines the only GT around here, and thats what does it.

mine would get a few looks in stock form but since I have been working on it most people have not seen it yet. I did get it out of the garage to clean it up after paint and it was not even all back together and 2 of my neighbors came over to see what it was. they had both see it before and could not belive it was the same car. now I can't wait to get the rear bumper on it tomarow so I can get it out and realy turn heads
My blue gt gets attention from folks most have no idea its a fiero. I also have the requisite fart cannon bearing crowd's attention when its driving and my exhaust's rumble doesn't help either.

I drive a Fiero to not attract attention. The only time I see peoples heads turn is when there are a lot of us driving together. I guess seeing 10-20 Fieros driving without bursting into flames draws attention from the masses.

I get a lot of attention too in my Formula. The rubber necking is very noticeable. I also frequently have random strangers walk up to ask me about it, or to tell me their Fiero story. Also a surprising number of gas station attendents leave their quickie marts to come check the car out when I am at the pumps.

My beat-up GT turns heads. Once in a while, I'll get a person talking to me about it while I'm pumping gas. They usually have no idea it's a Fiero. I don't drive it to turn heads. I drive it because I love it.
My Mustang in constantly turning heads and getting thumbs up. I always get talked to about it and it is really starting to get annoying. Too much attention is a bad thing.

A couple of kids (young boys) rode their bicycles right out into traffic & almost got hit because they were so busy looking at me drive by in my Yellow GT. They probably never seen one before & thought it was some exotic car.

When we've had a group out and got stopped at a red light, I had noticed pedestrain traffic stop as well.
People trying to figure out "what are those cars?" and "what the hell is going on? (why so many)"
i have a pure stock 85 SE, and i get ALOT of compliments. Mostly from older folks who had one back in the day....and the younger kids who never heard of em think its badass....I usually get complimented on how clean and good shape it is =D

As a new Fiero owner and living in a small Nebraskan town people always stare. People have came out of buildings or stopped and asked me what the car was, etc. It's awesome to own!
Haha you guys summed up exactly what I thought. These cars are rare and deserve the attention they get, I can't wait to finally own one. Soon enough it will happen. Out of curiosity, what MPGs are you V6 5 speed guys getting?

I dunno... I have had a great reaction everywhere I go with mine. I would come out of a store to see people looking in my windows and what not. Just last night i lost an hour at the local sheets talking to a guy and his son who just got one. LoL Fieros deff catch attention... And mine is bone stock. I cant imagine the reaction some of the beautiful, modified cars on this forum would get every day...

i noticed almost everyone at gas stations stares at me, and i drive a solid black stock 87 notchie with steelies lol. nobody has said anything at gas stations, but ive only filled up a few times since ive owned it, and Madison isnt known for being friendly, especially the neighborhood i live in (and hence fill up in) lol. had a neighbor say "what year is your fiero?" was surprised he knew what it was seeing as ALL the fiero/pontiac markings have worn away or fallen off over the years lol. cant wait till winter, ill have my stereo done, repairs done, and a caddy 4.9. sure to get TONS of looks lol. i dont think there are any v8 Fieros in my area. if there are, id be very interested to see them/it.... ;P
oh, and the idiot who lives across the hall (who just totalled his raced out 90s civic hatch) and his buddies always stare at my car when we are all in the parking lot at the same time. i think they are immigrants from some asian country, so idk how much familiar foreigners are with fieros
My wife tells me that when she follows the Fiero in her car she watches the reactions and almost every guy turns his head to look at the Fiero. So yes!

Heads usually turn, and more than once I've seen people pull out camera phones (while driving even) when I drive by, one time heading home after work I saw a camera flash in my direction from a car behind me in the other lane.
When I go eat at Dog n Suds, and sometimes when I stop at the gas station, I tend to get comments. Once going through downtown Grayslake someone flagged me down and tried to make an offer to buy it. At a Potbelly sandwich place a few years ago some kids saw it and their friend took cellphone pics of them posing with the car, like it were a Ferrari or something.

Funniest reaction I've seen was one day I was having lunch at Chipotle and was seated on one of the stools along the front window where I could watch the Fiero while I was eating. Two high school age guys parked and were headed into the restaurant when they noticed the Fiero parked there. They looked at it for about two minutes, with puzzled looks on their faces. One pointed at the "Pontiac" letters on the back. I'm sure they had been trying to figure out what it was. Finally they both pulled out their camera phones and took a couple pics of it.
Hey shockwave, do you ever take it to the dog n suds cruise in? I haven't seen a single fiero up here. Last fiero I saw in person was when I was a kid in Jacksonville Florida. Every morning waiting for the bus this crazy hot blonde would come by in a black fastback. Mmmhmmm

I took the GT out for a drive yesterday and I saw some people looking, BUT right next to me pulled up a Delorean. WITHOUT a doubt every head on the street was looking at it and not the Fiero. So yes the Fiero can turn heads, but it is not yet the ultimate head turner. Maybe a hit movie staring a Fiero is needed?

Which one? The only DnS show I know of is in Ingleside/Fox Lake and I think the Fiero is still too new for that one, unless they've changed something.
Always a head turner, I had some guy in queens stopped in the middle of the street to ask if it was the car in back to future.... Some kids in the Bronx almost got ran over because they are looking at the car and not paying attention to NY crazy cabs speeding down the street.

On the interstate, I find people tend to ride in the blind spot looking, pointing, taking pictures and then waving and they finally pass. I used to get upset and speed up to get away. Then realized, if I slowed down and let them pass they would have a chance to see who owned the car. Then I would have the opportunity to give that smug look that says "You actually paid money for that car? Be off with you! I drive excitement!"

There's a handful of them where I live, but I still turn a few heads from time to time in my stock 2M4. One day at work, I was heading back in from my break and a guy stopped me in the parking lot and asked me a bunch of questions. He was looking into buying one, so I talked with him for a good half-hour. The best part was that I got paid for that time, and my boss was none the wiser.
My best experience was driving through a parking lot when a little kid yelled out "Daddy, look! A Corvette!". That made my day.
