Does anyone make kick panel speaker pods for the Fiero? I'm thinking of them for Ferrario because of the restricted dash space. Or if anyone has pictures, that'd be great too.

Synthesis did an excellent build for a couple that looked great. It was not too long ago, either.

I ended up making custom door panel speaker pods and thought they might be of interest in case you decide to put the speakers in the door. The door panels are made from a 98 Bonneville SSEi widened and shortened. I moved the speakers far foward so the backs could be inserted in the door and clear the power window motors, I started with rigid foam and carved the shape. I cut a skeleton from .1" aluminum and stretched glass cloth around the foam, pinned to the back and then applied resin. After 4 layers were cured, I pulled out the foam, leaving a hollow shell. Good luck,
Jim

Wow! Jim those turned out very nice!

Are you having any pod -> side bolster clearance issues?

The door panel speaker pods look great. But I'm looking for kick panel speaker pods. The part right by your feet. I'm not cutting my custom-made door panels.

HI all

Whade, if it were ever possible for me to get my hands on an Fi355 dash, I was thinking of adding ferrari 360 kick panels to that 355 dash/door panel..... They'd obviously would have to be cut to match the part of the map holder thingy....... But since i'm more of a tyre kicker right now, , I haven't even priced something like that yet...... Though I still suspect that you'd have to cut into the door panel, for a deeper mounted speaker.....

Just my 2 cents......

edit to add: grammar

here's a couple i've tried. excuse the mess and not so sharp pics. i have a hard time keeping cars neat, and i'm kinda new to pic taking.

this is my first try in my first fiero. 5 1/4" components, coustic i think. to the left behind the junk you can kinda see a little 8" sub box.

these are in my convertible and also my gt. an 8" three way infinity made some years back.

i also played with pulling up all the carpet and making a fiberglass pod that was part of the corner it's self, so the relaid carpet would cover the whole thing with just a grill showing. i think it would work with aftermarket carpet, but i never finished it.

Just a couple I found.
I like the hidden speakers behind the carpet.

The pods clear the bolsters fine, however, it is tight on the drivers side to work the ebrake. I started out with the Bonneville map pockets and the intruded too much on the interior.
