As with any wheel swapping, check the offset even if the rest is compatible!

A ton of Toyota / Lexus / Scion wheels fit, as do any 5 lug VW's except the Passat.
Pontiac Vibe fits (all models), and therefore so should Toyota Matrix and Voltz.

Also check on J-body forums (Cavalier, Sunfire) to see what wheels they're using! There's a ton of ricers *ahem* I mean "import tuners" that have already done the footwork for us!

Ok some of the wheel's that were listed above will not fit! Do to the bolt circle is 5/114.3 not 5/100.

I know for a fact many of the (if not all) scion/toyota wheels will not fit without modifications. The bolt pattern may be right but the center hub is actually smaller on the toyotas so the wheels will not bolt on. Same thing with the subaru wheels.

Aww, shucks!! There goes my next project.
I was planning on getting VW, Subaru, or Scion wheels (whichever ones I could find) on the Fiero.

Grant wheel, is that standard on a 98 F-Bird or an aftermarket item on it?

It is noce looking, Is there any mods to have it fit? And I'm guessing the horn works, right?

Thanks

Sorry if some of those are wrong, I got nearly all of them from J-body sources. Damned kids

But yes, many Toyota wheels do fit. I've even had some on my car at one point. They had the same center bore, or at least larger but close enough that I didn't notice any problems with the Fiero. I've also had my Fiero wheels on a Vibe, which is a Toyota Matrix chassis and drivetrain with Pontiac badges.

Also the J-body kids might have had the wrong years for Subarus, butat least some WRX are 56.1 mm center bore and 5x100 bolt spacing. I was just talking to a guy online who had one

The fiero center bore is 57.1 the subaru wheels are 56.1. I believe there are a few on here with the subaru wheels and they had to make the center bore a little bit bigger. You might be able to get away with doing the one mm yourself. I had picked up some scion wheels though and they do not fit, the center bore is 54.1 I believe. The center would have to be machined, or at least that isn't something I would want to do myself. Fiero wheels may fit on the toyota but not the other way around without machine work. Although there may be some toyota wheels out there with bigger center bores that might fit.

Search e-bay for 5x100 wheels then check the results for diameter and offset.

I put 16" Vibe wheels on my 88 GT four years ago. It cost me about $100 to have a local machine shop enlarge the center bores to 57.1mm

I really like the idea of having all junkyard upgrades in one thread. Makes it easier to find stuff.

Although they are they same bolt pattern, the holes are -I believe- 3mm. too small, so some machining is required. Someone here posted that a shop would charge you about 90 bucks per rim for the job.

They are sexy rims tho, what a shame, I found these online, pretty much new for 200.

Also, the high wing from a 3rd gen z28 fits well on notchies.

A couple spoilers that look pretty good on notchies but I think they need a little modification, and good placement.

The heavy duty front uprights and bearings from a late 80's/early 90's Celebrity/Ciera/some others are a good upgrade for 84 to 87 rear uprights. Also get bigger brakes and rotor, at a cost loss of parking brake and larger bolt pattern (5x115).

Uprights? as in knuckles?

So they use a stronger bearing/hub system? Because the bearings on my car keep going...

Yeppers...Looks like this:

You'll need to switch the outer portion of the axle (Manual axle might fit). I think Will had a writeup in one of his threads. He used the Ciera.

For the knuckle upgrade: Is there a way to maintain the stock bolt pattern of 5x100 with the stronger knuckle/upright and bearing?
