Sorry to hear of your loss, and I know how much it hurts, as I lost my father May 2007. It will get better with time, and as others have said, cherish the memories. They can be an inspiration during trying times, and will bouy you and yours in years to come. God Bless.

May the God of Heaven bless and keep your family thru these hard times! I know what you are dealing with. If you ask the Lord for comfort he will send it too you. We love our parents, we shall always keep them in our hearts and thoughts.
Sorry to hear the news. 53 is awfully young to go.
Let this be a reminder to all of us... Enjoy the people around you (kids, parents, grand-parents, aunts, uncles, friends, etc) because once they are gone, they are gone...
I am so sorry to hear that. You will be in my prayers.
2 Corinthians 1: 3-5
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
John 14: 1-4
1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God[a]; trust also in me. 2In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4You know the way to the place where I am going."

Sorry to hear of your loss. I couldn't have quoted these verses any better myself. I'll be praying for you and your family. Take care of yourself!

I can only echo the thoughts and condolences of the rest of "our family". Remember you have LOTS of friends here. If there's anything we can do to help, just ask. Keep your Dad's pasion alive, and remeber he's smiling down on you everytime you turn a wrench on your Fiero!

It's never easy to lose a parent, even though that's how it usually works out with most people. It's difficult, no matter what your, or their, age.
I was 15 when I lost my mom (barely remember that, now) and 31 when I lost my dad (which I remember like it was yesterday, even though it was 20 years ago.)
May you find peace and comfort. And remember that we understand.

Theres a lot of early age 50's in these posts. My day passed unexpectedly at 52 and I was 18. He bought me my 1st car the day before he died. I'm 60 now and some of those good memories still bring tears of joy to my eyes today. Be strong and always remember when.
I'm sorry for your loss
