Darthfiero came up with a very neat fuel rail based off of the series III fuel rail. It is rather simple but effective. His design used a flipped (reversed) fuel rail so with some mods it should be able to be done. He relocated the regulator to near the fuel filter and that adds another plus feature. All fittings are AN 37* flare ( you can't use 45* flares here) and it is more secure than using the GTP slip O ring connector that is prone to failures. With Darths design (as with the series III design ) hot fuel never gets returned to the tank.

Thanks again for the instruction 3.8 SC and Skitime for the ideas.

I've almost finished my rail and am a little concerned about getting the inside clean enough. I know the outside looks horrible with all the flux etc. but that's easy to get to. I'd really like to avoid clogging an injector so I was thinking of soaking the whole thing in some sort of rust remover to clean the inside along with the outside to bare metal. Any thoughts on this? I've had good luck soaking a brake caliper in the stuff but haven't tried brazed steel.

Thanks,

I thought, I would bump this to the top. Since there is a few 3800 engine swaps going on right now.

I bought a set of these rails that 3.8 SC made. I think they look really good and are a hell of alot cheaper than ZZPs. I am painting the rail black and i just havent got to it yet.

doublec4- The disadvantage of running the rails over the supercharger is that when you use an intercooler it raises the charger 2.25 inches and then you either have to use ZZPs injector spacers or you have to cut the rail and put injector hose in to lengthen the rail up. You can use these rails that run around the charger and then you dont have to worry about leaking spacers or fuel line. IMHO if you are going to run a intercooler either make a rail like i am using or buy PRJ or ZZPs billet alluminum fuel rails. Theres also the cosmetic issue of hooking up two lines on top of the supercharger. I didnt want anything running over the supercharger and i am doing to cleanest swap possible so my new lines connect down like the stock 2.8 did. Out of sight the way they should be.
