Once I started to have extra cash again, I got regular access to the internet and I started posting again about the progress. I installed a few more parts that I got off e-bay and I had someone lined up for paint. At the last min. that gentlemen backed out and wanted double his original asking price, and I still continued to get bad e-mails. At that point, I had had enough and decided to turn it over to someone else. I figured that way everyone would leave me alone, but it seems that I did try to walk away and the e-mails continue.
I want my parts back, and that way all of the "shotty work" that I did will be un-done and you can have a clean slate, and I will go away forever never to post here again.

I know I’ll be crucified for telling you how to do this…
There are three wires that come out of the gen 1 motors. Green, blue and grey.
Cut the green wire and put some sort of connector on it.
Cut the blue and grey wires, twist them together and put some sort of connector on them.
Now I cant tell you what color wires to hook up to on the gen 2 system, but you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right the first time. If the headlight works backwards then just switch the wires. (that’s why I suggested putting some sort of connecter on them)
All you gen II lovers out there can now give me a negative for telling someone how to hermaphrodite the system.
So you guys gonna sit around and cry or get off of the sofa and get back to the car that is supposed to be for the people south of here who do not even have a computer to post on....... Guys think about how fortunate you are to simply have a home, and these people need help; and what are ya'll doing????
Randomtask: Come get this 88 for my contribution, I would tow it but I have no way of doing it. I'm in Winston Salem, I'll PM you with details.
And yes I'll let hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of parts go to this project and I don't even want a plaque!
GET BACK TO IT!!!!! Stop whining. There are people in need.
PS: I'll even give you Robert Verhalen's old Radio, it's sitting outside on a shelf not being used HELL I have three radio's But you can have one.

You should just go away...........You have no room to talk about anyone.
Day 47
I have personal money and time into the car. I will not go away. I want to make sure that this kid dosen't run with car/parts. He dosen't even own a fiero for himself. 47 days is awhile for 0 progress. I may have had the car for a while, but I was always making progress.
RANDOMTASK, please post to ease my troubled mind/mouth. I would like to see the photos that you said you would post 14 days ago.
You have to be the biggest hypocrite ever created!! You slammed me for getting on your case, and being the main complainer about your lack of progress reports, disappearance for weeks, and the feeble excuses for not posting, and yet you are emulating me to a 'T'...look up the word 'hypocrite', and then come back and explain why YOU aren't the epitomy of the description you will find? Why did you change your user name? Because you are DEVIOUS!! Sling your friggin' hook, and your self-righteous crap...If Joe DOES mess up, I rather think he has more integrity than you have ever possessed in your whole miserable life, and will tell us if he has problems.47 days?? That is less than some of the periods of silence, which were only broken by consistent prodding, that YOU allowed to pass.Go and bang your drum, or blow your trumpet in some other arena..or is it a triangle you play? I am sure the majority here don't like your kind of music.Silence is more bearable than your endless cacophony..get the picture?? F**K OFF!!..I hope you will be removed from here quicker than a fart in a hurricane....such as KATRINA...does that name ring a bell, a year on? A year, or 365 days.Take off 47, and you had the car for 318...long way to go before we start getting worried again...

At least he seems to have internet access now... Funny how that happens AFTER he is no longer responsible for the car.
I don't know anything about this guy but I am getting a kick out of watching his threats. A website owner is responsible for things typed on a public internet forum? Good luck with that one! At least we know you are not an attorney in the military.
Nick, I thought the same thing about his count-up of days. Sits on the car for a year and then harasses someone over a month. And since anyone dares to question it, he will take his toys and go home... I think Raydar said it best... Waaaah!
If his whole dialogue weren't so funny it would be almost sad.

James, I got your PM's , you're welcome to pick the rims up. I will speak my mind and say you're the biggest bag of **** ever. You say you 'NEED' the lace rims back when cavaliers never came with those rims nor a rim that large. The 14's would work just fine, you just have remorse. That being said, PM me when you want to come over and I'll glady have the 15's off sitting in a nice pile for you to pick up.
Joe
Oh, and weren't you have supposed to have moved on the 1st as you said?

Yes I did move. Just not out of the area yet. I'm still waiting on a med board to put me fit for full duty so I can get orders.
2 screen names: the one I use now is my original name. I cannot log on under focusrush....It won't let me. Not banned, just errors. So I went back to my original.
I ask for the 15's since those are the ones I paid for. The 14's are the ones that came with the car. When I come to get the rims, I'll give you the other little parts that I found in the garage like the arm rest and stuff. I'll call you this evening.

God! Can't someone stop this crybaby with his counter! It is amazing how all of a sudden he is available all the time to harass this guy who is trying to do what he was supposed to do but didn't.
James, or whatever your name is, if you think you are saving face, you're not. If you think you are making someone else look bad like you looked bad, you're not. All you are doing is making yourself look like a big baby. I'm really surprised your ratings bar hasn't shown up yet.
Please try to save what little bit of respect anyone on this board might have for you and stop your childish game. Even if this guy doesn't do the car, which I think he will, it doesn't change the fact that you screwed up and hid from the forum for a year. Be a man and suck it up and move on.
Seeing how I'm taking 13 credit hours and working 40 hours a week, not much has happened to the car recently. Rodney (SN Dobez to the forum) recently became local so i'm gonna try and sucker him in to giving me a hand.
On a side note, right now I'm trying to get the title for this. James had signed the title, but never put it in his name. As such, unless I'm james stanley, the DMV won't let me put the title in my name (or anyone elses for that matter) I'm trying to work something out with kris (Va-ricreatr) but he moved to TN and it would prob be a pain for him to come all the way back here for this. So i'm gonna talk to the DMV and see what can be done. Worse case scenario, I'll apply for an abandoned vehicle title.
Unless james, you want to help out? You said you were gonna call about those rims but you never did, what happened? I'll trade you the rims for one hour your time.

Any news Joe? Any help turned up yet? Don't struggle on your own...if it is too much, just say so It might be time to put this to sleep, before it causes you too much trouble. You did a noble thing to take it on after all that happened..but don't let it drag you down. I suggest auctioning it off as it is.. Nick

Nick, i have a place lined up to paint it. The ONLY thing holding me back from painting it is the title. I really don't wanna finish the car up (paint and a days worth of work) until I have the title in hand. I've tried contacting james but he hasn't been returning my phone calls. I'm about to go through the abandoned vehicle method to get a title for it.
Thanks,
joe

I sent two certified letters to the last owner on the title and both of them were returned unsigned. This leaves out the possibility of getting an abandoned vehicle title.
Guys, I really need some advice on this. I can part it out and give whatever money is recieved to a 3rd party to distribute it, or whatever else you guys want to do. I'm open for suggestions.

"twofatguys" here on the forum claims that he has bought a few cars with no title and it was a very simple process to get a replacement title here in Missouri.
if he will explain the process to me, i will be more than happy to act as the middle man, but i'm sure the car will have to be here (in Missouri) to be inspected by the highway patrol.

Replacement titles are issued for vehicles if a title is lost, stolen or mutilated. Substitute titles are issued when information on the previously issued title needs to be changed. To obtain a replacement title: Order online Call 1-888-337-4782 or Bring your current registration card and your driver's license or ID card to your local customer service center. Complete an "Application for Supplemental Lien and Transfer Liens or Replacement and Substitute Titles" (VSA-66). All owners must sign to give authorization unless the application is being submitted by the primary lienholder.
NOTE: If the owner of the vehicle is deceased, the surviving legal heir, executor or administrator of the estate can complete and sign the VSA-66 on behalf of the deceased. You must also submit the certified or notarized death certificate and one of the following documents: a notarized copy of the will; completed "Statement of Authority to Assign Title" (VSA-24) as proof of legal heir; a court-issued document or will appointing the executor or administrator; or any other court-issued document appointing an executor or administrator.
might be a start

Thats only if the title is in your name will they issue a replacement. I HAVE the title, it just has the original owners name, with James Stanely's signature. In VA that means James HAS to title it in his name before the title can be signed over again. You can't have 3 parties, thats considered jumping titles.
Well as you know, I'm definitely willing to help. But also, I don't see any point in doing work on it until we get the title issue solved, since we won't be able to actually do anything with the car anyway. It's too bad I don't have a shop yet. Then I could get a mechanic's lien on the title and deal with it that way.

If you show that you've tried to find him, couldn't you use the registered mail you sent out? It's an out of state title, right? Go to a DMV near a military base and ask for help.
If a vehicle is abandoned on private property (46.2-1208), the property owner can request ownership information from DMV by completing the form CRD93 and paying a $8.00 fee. Upon receipt of the ownership information, the property owner is responsible for notifying all persons having interest in the vehicle (i.e., lienholder, owner), of the vehicle's status by registered or certified mail, (return receipt requested) and advising them to reclaim and remove their vehicle within thirty days. If this does not occur, the property owner may apply for a certificate of title in his name.
The county, city or town, where a vehicle is abandoned may take custody of the vehicle. In order to do so, they must notify, by registered or certified mail within fifteen days (returned receipt requested), all persons having interest in the vehicle (i.e., lienholder, owner) of their intent (46.2-1202, Code of Virginia) to tow the abandoned vehicle. This allows the owner the ability to claim his vehicle. If the owner does not respond within the time allowed, the county, city or town may sell the vehicle at a public auction.

I was the previous owner before James... Were you saying you sent James or Me two certified letters? I've never received any, plus you should have contacted me on here if it was me as weve PM'd in the past and I've always been willing to help with the situation.
If you could clarify it would be great.

Ok, let me explain this. I have the title, its NOT in my name, its in Va-RicerEtrs. On Virginia titles, theres a place to sign the title when you purchase the car from someone. James Stanley signed in this spot. Thus, when I go to the DMV, unless I’m james stanely I can NOT put this title in my name. The only things I can do are as follows. Get the person whos name is printed on the title (VA-RICR) to get a copy title, get James to put the title in his name, then sign it over, or file for an abandoned vehicle title. (Send a letter of intent to title to Va-Riceretr via certified mail (which I did) ) and take back the receipt of the certified letter to the DMV. The problem is, VA-RICR, I sent you two letters, both of them returned un-signed, so as far as the DMV is concerned, you were never contacted and thus, I can’t get the title. I’ll PM you the address I sent them to.

Easier said than done, unfortunately. VA RICR-ETR lives in TN now, not VA. In order to get a replacement title(1) you still need a VA driver's license. The abandoned vehicle title route is probably the best way to go. We should be able to get the title transferred that way, without having to have people travel all across states to get it done. I would think that a returned unsigned certified letter would imply that the person has moved off elsewhere and forgot about the car though, and would let the abandonment proceed to a clean title.

I'm pretty upset that people probably think I'm the one, of all people, holding up this process.
Random: In your last PM to me on 9/18 you even ask me if I visit VA often, referring to the fact i may need to sign something or whatever once you get the title process figured. I explained to you twice I didn't live there anymore. Sure, a simple mistake at first, but if after you got the first one back, checking our previous correspondence would have cleared it up.
Dobey just PM'd me and got my current address. If you need to correspond with me to help out, fine. Please don't come off negative towards me or my actions as I truly have never done anything but try to help on this forum since day one. Maybe I'm being a priss, but it sounds like, in two different replies now, that i dropped the ball somehow and that is absolutely not the case.
