Has any body done this looks very posseble not that I dont mind being the first but some hunt on how to do it would be great

I used after market Mazda RX7 headlights just like you show to make my retractable headlights from them .

There used to be a mod just like the one you're proposing, except made for the Fiero. Somebody was making them a while back, but I haven't seen em in years.

Yeah, they were referenced as 'frog eyes' or 'gator eyes' ...something like that anyhow. I remember seeing some a couple years ago posted showing a hood by PISA by HazePerformance.
