We didn't get enough of the twisty roads and great scenery the first time around so we are gonna do it again! If you missed it in November you have another chance to take on Highway 1! This time it is all about the drive. No raffle, no catered meals. Just gathering together to enjoy the cars, the road, and the friends. Plans have been made for several video cameras and lots more photos this time around so there is a possibility of a DVD. Plan to be there! I'll be calling the hotel tomorrow to make arrangements for the second time around.
What: Coast Run, Part II When: January 13-15, 2006 (actual Run on Jan 14) Where: San Simeon, CA (Courtesy Inn) Where to: Monterey, CA (Bubba Gump's @ The Cannery)
Oh man! It's a good thing California already has so many Fiero clubs.. California Coasters sounds pretty good... But I guess coasting really means no motor involved, huh? Better not do that!
We gotta have more hits than this ya all..............it's the Coast Run. Let's just hope we have a great weather like we had the last time. It'll probably be nipplely cold. Otherwise Palm Springs run might be in order instead..............just a thought, don't have a cow dawg!!!

------------------ PLAY HARD-DIE FAST Notchies look sexy racy kinda like the neighbors wife. Fastbacks are just sexy, kinda like your own wife. Like a lot of men I like getting in and making them both scream.

CALIFORNIA COASTER will be the elite group. It'll be a combine group of people who really are Fiero Fanatics (not that we're aren't already) but you know what I mean.

So no caterers and no raffle means we have time for otherstuff right? What time do you think we will make it back into San Simion?
Depends on how much time we take for video, etc. I generally allow 3.5 to 4 hours each way even though the actual drive can be done a lot quicker. Figure it gets dark around 6:00PM. It would be cool to be back down the coast to get to a place where we could all catch a sunset. That would take a little planning. There is lots of parking at the sea lion stop. That might be cool.
Yep, time for other stuff. Any ideas are welcome. There is the lounge next door. There is the beach and lots of driftwood. Everyone could cram their cars full of spare parts for a swap meet. All sorts of ideas... Marie and I keep waiting for the lighthouse to reopen for tours. They've had a sign up for 3 years saying it would open soon.

Thanks, Dale. The car is coming along but now I have a goal to shoot for.
Go Neil! That'd be awesome if you had it running in time for Coast Run Part II. If I have my car down here that'll make at least two LQ1s. Maybe Blue Shift will finish sometime next year too...

I Just got off the phone with Manish. He said that he only has 10 rooms for Friday night. I already have my two rooms reserved so it is 10 in addition to that. He has plenty of rooms for Saturday night.
Do we think that will work? I know that some people will probably drive up the morning of the Run and will not need a room. And we might have some joining us in Monterey as before.
Advice: Go ahead and get your room if you are coming.
mmkay. who wants to split for Saturday night? I live 45 minutes away, so I'll just meet you Saturday morning [and will be bringing a whole truckload of wood... I've worked out playing passenger already] but I want to stay sat. night.
roomie anyone? I'll try not to snore TOO loudly.
hehe. and you think I'm kidding... Janell

------------------------------------------------------- PLAY HARD-DIE FAST And folks always remember to eat before driving on the coast. If you fly off the cliff and no one finds you the only thing worse than knowing you are going to bleed to death alone is to do it hungry.

I figure this is as good a place as any to try out Brianna's new sig. Still needs a little cleaning up but it will work for now I guess...
Quick tip? (assuming you're using photoshop) Switch the color mode from RGB to "Index" prior to "saving for web" - it'll eliminate some of the haloing and rough edges on the transparency
