Ok so many of us who had an origional IRM manual stated that they have or had a blue dingy thing replacement for 150.00. That spoke to you like many of the cars in the 80's that had this option install like the nissan 200sx. "ding lights are on" or ding " door is ajar" or ding "emergency brake is on" cool things like that. I know that there is a guy that had a site that shows you the plans to do this. "I am not that inclined to figure out something like this thought" Any one have one of these and are willing to get rid of it?? I contacted fiero warehouse and he said that when he got the molds there was no such a creature there. ???? Still looking for cool stuff.

I bought a couple of them for $15 to $20 each. If I can find what box they are in I will sell you one for a lot less than $150. Unfortunately I have moved and am still unpacking boxes so it may take me a while to locate it. Send me a PM or e-mail if you still need one.

I guess in twenty years the trash will get emptied He is looking for a talking one, I guess he ain't married
I have thought about replacing my stock blue thing with a solid state version. I like having the thing at least remind me lights are on etc and brake on when in gear would be good (brake on all the time is a pain) but mine hardly works any more, more like squeaks when it does. Can't be too hard to create a solid state ver of one. Like most things on my car though it is on the 'to do' list until I get my swap really complete, just gotta hook up the ac and hopefully that will be it (ha ha).

I bought mine from "Kickhill Farms" for $5. That was in 1999, so I have no idea what their stock / price situation is these days. In fact, I'm not even sure that "Kickhill" is the correct name. However, they should be listed on the Forum vendor list.
Most blue dingy thingies go "ding", hence the name. You can find those for like $.25 all day around here. He's looking for a *talking* one, which I personally have never seen before. Definitely would be unique in a Fiero, but I was ready to kill the one in a friend's Dodge after just a few rides.

Talking Dingy things are evil. I have a 280ZX with an annoying lady voice "Lights are on" "key is in the ignition" "Door is ajar" I was glad the day it decided not to work anymore.

The talking ones are generally regarded today as annoying...which is why they don't put them on cars anymore. I never understand why people want to put things on a Fiero that are regarded as obsolete by today's standards, like digital dash, talking chime boxes, curb feelers, etc, but it's your car, do what you wanna do...

Sweet, curb feelers! Someone has them on a Fiero? That I gotta see.. I personally would like cameras in the side mirrors that watch the curbs when reversing, to keep from nailing the wheels while parallel parking. How the heck are curb feelers supposed to work anyway? (No, I'm not adding them! LOL)

I've never actually seen curb feelers on a Fiero, but I wouldn't be surprised if somebody out there has them. As you approach the curb, you would here them touch before the wheels scrape.
My car must have one of those. Whenever I'm going somewhere with the wife I keep hearing "You're going too fast" or "Stop tailgating" or "Look out for that dog". Wonder what kind of sensors they use for that stuff.....
