Put the engine back in, connected everything up, primed the engine, turned the key and VVVVRRRRRROOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!! She fired right up! Very smooth and all cylinders firing. VERY loud without a cat and muffler for now... (Borla still needs some welding).
I will make a video with sound tomorrow....
I am VERY happy!!!! My first engine rebuilt and it worked out perfectly!
The tranny clicks through the gears and the throw is very short and crisp with Rodney's tranny rebuild kit and the ultimate Getrag shift kit.

Hey Yellowstone, is that a Fiero Store rear sway bar? If so, do you end-links every break? It seems you cut or slanted the poly's for a better fit? I seem to always break one of them. I'm guessing I need stronger bolts? What grade are yours?

Yes, this is a FS heavy duty sway bar. The bolts are the ones that came with the kit. I didn't cut the poly's they just look that way when squeezed...

Took the Stage 2 side scoops and "Fie Ro" style hood to get prepped and painted today. We should see some great body updates soon. But first, we're going on vacation so be patient :-)

Easy! I AM NOT trying to emulate a Ferrari - I'm just building my perfect Fiero. And a Fiero it will always be. It is proudly displaying Fiero badges and will NEVER have a Ferrari badge!

Just outta curiousity, if you had an 88GT parts car, why didnt you install the 88GT rear cradle, the adapters from held motorsports arent expensive, and your car would have handled better.

The reason is that I have a lot invested in my rear suspension and brakes and I would lose that investment and have to buy equivalent parts (Eibachs, Konis, drilled/slotted rotors, PU bushings...) for the 88 cradle. Also I would have to upgrade the front brakes as the tech inspection would get suspicious if I come along with vented rear discs and non-vented fronts... Things are not that easy over here...!
