I'm looking to get some fog lights for the fiero...

Any suggestions on brands, where would be the most successful mounting location etc... Im thinkin for the aero noses, between the turn signals in the radiator intake hole... Good idea? bad Idea...? I think it would conseal the lights well in the daylight... Post your thoughts

Do you have them on your fiero? Please post pics.

Orief, how are they mounted? bolted to the fascia or some kinda metal brackets or something...?

I'd get a chin spoiler and install them in that, but the aftermarket springs in the front end are so low the way it is, i couldn't add a chin spoiler...

(not sure what kinda springs they are, came with the car when i bought it...) but i gotta hit speed bumps at a 45 degree angle so the front end doesnt drag... the tires hit bfore the fascia has a chance...

but im getting kinda off topic alittle bit, I'll shut up...

One possibility is maybe going with a different nose. Then using a combination Fog/Blinker like this.

Here are a couple of other ideas.
This 1st one you could put the fogs under your blinkers instead of in a chin.

This looks pretty good too.

Replaced front signal lights with fog/driving lights
- closer to being flush with the bumper
- using relays to use one as daytime driving light as well as signal light
- ran power from battery ,used signal as triger for relay
see link in sig for a better writeup on the fog/driving lights

Here in alberta we are allowed to have clear/white front signal lights

Lights are eurolight, but roadboy has them also at Princess Auto

I put daytime running lights on my Fiero. Bought some small cheap driving lights at Wal mart, and wired them up with a relay so they only came on with the ignition, and added a switch to turn them off during the night.

http://edmontonfieros.servehttp.com/phpgallery/2005-05-19-10/Aug2-2.jpg

I have a bumper pad bumper, and I used an existing mounting bolt that held the black grille in under the bumper to hold the lights up.

Here is a writeup I did awhile back"

No, the projector style fog lamps I used have a deep body. The mounting is near the rear of the case so it is mounted to the frame rail and the lens is sticks into the scooped area by about an inch.
They are Hella's and nearly 10 years old.
Here is a link to the newer style ones:
http://store.aumauto.com/hella1100.html

If you look at the link, You'll notice that the mounting is at the rear of the case so it can mount to the frame rail for a solid mounting.

I chose to go with Eurolite 3-ways, spot, fog, indicator. Only the indicator was blue and that is a big no no around here so I had to remove it, buy clear bulbs and spray bomb them amber. I know you are thinking why didnt i buy amber bulbs, but they wern't available.

soory, no pics right now. I can tell you I placed them where the factory turn signals were.

I left the blue light in the eurolight housing as they are my marker ights, and so far I use the fog lights all the time, so they are not easily seen. If there is ever a problem I plan on putting white lights in it's place.
