Below is a one-off set I did for a customer. I can reproduce these for $300 a set. That's grade 8 hardware in the photos and it's included in the price. The tabs are for you to weld on if you're using that style of harness. Wrap style harnesses are less work to install and just as good if not better.

If somebody wants a harness bar that spans the cabin and attaches to the stock shoulder harness mounts I can do that, too.

if that is $300, then how is $400-450 off the wall for the harness bar, especially made out of 4130 chromoly or stainless steel? i DO believe that $300 is a fair price, but the harness bar requires NO modification to the car or it's interior. Also, I hardly fit in the fiero as it is, let alone having the seat moved up!!!

Doug those look great, with one exception, for me, they wouldn't work. My shoulders sit much to high and with them that low, it would do more harm than good. Do you have any pics of the one that spans the whole width of the car.

Racingman, for that price, are you still thinking about going with Phil's set-up? I know that Gunner24 posted that he got some, waiting for some feedback!!

That's good to know. You must be tall. For my reference, how tall are you? Most sanctioning bodies specify that the harnesses must attach level with or a couple inches below the driver's shoulders. I'm 6'0" and these are just right for me.

Sorry, no pics. I haven't actually built one of these yet. As others have said, though, it shouldn't be too hard. You can check out some of my other work if you'd like to decide if you think I'm capable. http://www.chaserace.com/cage/cage.html

I am about 6'5" or so. And I also can't loose any backwards motion of the seat. Which is why this bar interested me in the first place.
