Thought about it but decided not to. Too much invested into the 87 cradle and rear suspension:
- Rear heavy duty sway bar
- Drilled/slotted rotors
- SS brake lines
- PU control arm bushings
- Yellow Eibach springs and red adjustable Koni shocks
- New ball joints and tie rods
- PU cradle bushings
- New engine stabilizer strut

Strip the hell out of that car, and stock pile all the good parts.

That's what I would do if I lived in Germany.

Well, no need to do that. It's sits well and protected where it is and I can just take whatever I need whenever I need it...

I understand your position, but consider this..... reguardless how much you put into that 87 rear suspension, and it's greatly improved, the design is the same. It would be worth your while to swap in the 88 rear suspension. You have a great oppertunity. Something to think about. Future project maybe.

Don't ditch the rear clip whatever you do!

Definetly think about the swap somewhere down the road - I put an '88 into my '87 and the difference is incredible!

You will need to use a strut adaptor to move the thing into the correct position - but no fear - they're out there now (*ahem* and I'm working on a MUCH better one *cough*).
