we may have pissed them off...if i recall correctly i participated along with others in a petition to change the fiero in the game from an 84 SE to one of the GT's...not sure how far that got though...

An 1886 Mercedes-Benz Daimler Motor Carriage?! WTF's with that? Next thing you know they'll be throwing a covered pioneer chuck wagon in there...
I'm sure it flies once you get the stage 4 turbo kit, free-flowing exhaust, stage 3 weight reduction, fully adjustable racing suspension, 6 speed tranny, adjustable LSD, and supersoft slicks...

uhmm, why isn't the Fiero listed? Could it be it was too well engineered? Too competitive? I mean, mid engine, rear wheel drive, space frame, central mounted gas tank... Now count the number of Hondas, including their minivans. Does Honda not build economy cars? I guess underpowered, overweight, front wheel drive cars are what fuel the minds of todays youth....
Do we have a release date yet?

the Japanese Release date is December 28, 2004 and the projected release for the US is in LATE Feb. but if it they release it like they do all other games then we should have it here by January 18, 2005. Fiero or not i will get this game.
sadly yes....notice the realistic looking bondo damage on the front fender? guess GT4 still allows you to buy "used" high performance ugly economy sedans

Lol, the Pulsar NX Turbo...possibly the only production car ever manufactured with a turbo that was actually slower than the normally aspirated version...
Okay, back on topic...

dont get me wrong, im buying gt4 in a heartbeat once i see it on a shelf in any store...
but a honda odyssey? a pontiac vibe?
i dunno about the rest of you but id be scared to take on the model T ford touring edition in my minivan...
anyone else here noticing really crappy cars taking up the space a good car, possibly mid engined, possibly a 2 seater, and maybe with a pontiac badge on it, should he occupying?
and whats up with the nissan skyline having a special purple edition... is it so special it not only has 27 different types of gt-r's but they also gave it a copy of two because there was a special edition that was purple that year? now im not hatin on purple cars here... but i think some people on the gt4 squad have been eating waay to much:
------------------ 85 Red GT 4spd 85 BlackSE 2m4 Auto 85 BlackSE 2M6 4spd 84 Red 4cyl 4spd
the Official Release date for the US is December 15th. i have a copy waiting for me, now all i need to do is come up w/ the bank for the new steering wheel....
As far as i know the Fiero is NOT in the list of cars officially, but there is going to be a second version of GT4 for online play available in about a year, this one MAY include a few more cars but there's no garentee (sp) on this.
My question is why the hell are they listing the 84SE as the Fiero of choice when they should have used and 88GT/Formula...
I think the biggest reason they use the '84 SE is that people tend to remember the worst of anything. With the '84, they were known for... Well, we don't need to get into that... But hardly anybody knows about the '88.
I think that works just fine for me. The less the demand, the less we have to pay when it's time for the next project...

February 1, 2005 Gran Turismo 4 Sony Computer Entertainment
-------------------------- side notes
700 cars and 90 courses
"The release of Gran Turismo 4, originally set for December 14th, 2004, will change to the first quarter of calendar year 2005," said Ron Eagle, Public Relations Manager, SCEA. "With Gran Turismo 4, the company is committed to providing consumers with the most complete racing game built to date. Natural challenges with finalizing all the key features and localization issues across worldwide territories have led to the difficult choice of pushing back the release date in order to ensure that Gran Turismo 4 lives up to the exacting standards of the 36 million-plus fans worldwide that have purchased previous versions of our best-selling franchise."
