When you are banned, the ratings you've given out are deleted. However, the ratings you've received stay. You've spent a few hours rating people. It took the system 0.47 seconds to delete them.
When you are banned, the system automatically scans for other usernames used. Those are not banned, but blocked access. In your case, the system found at least one other username (of a regular poster). I'm still not sure if you and that other username are the same person, or if you are simply using that person's computer (because I simply don't care). Either way, you (and the other) are screwed since now both of you can't post.

I am a new member and I am pretty sure that I dont have any power, and I know that my opinion doesnt really matter. That said, here is what I think......
....I quickly noticed the problems Greg caused, the response was handled very well, and CoolBlue87GT earned some respect with me for the way he handled the whole mess.
Brad
Thanks Brad for the kind words.
Your opinion does matter. I & most members accept new members right away with a hearty "cyber" handshake. Don't know about other forums, but here you don't need to prove yourself before gaining respect. We give it right away.
Let me say welcome & I hope you undertand the highjacking you've seen, is not the normal for our fourm.
99.9 % of us spend the time here helpping & exchanging tips & stories about our cars. I've taken pride in the way I let myself be viewed here and "went off" on Greg, as I felt the attack was unfounded.
I may have a nice car as viewed by some of our members, but if you've ever seen me at a show, I'm always nervious wreck before the judging, because I know there are nicer once here. If I'm lucky enough to have it win a trophy, it's always been a surprize. I enjoy the shows and love hearing the pride each owner has in their cars. I always make a point to go through the field and talk with everyone I can. Never met anyone that was like what Greg (or grandson) was trying to make me out to be.
I love all Fieros, I've seen many still in primer, with mods that are, (excuse the 70's remark here) cool. The changes some have created are fantastic.
I hope in a way, this has helpped the forum & made more "cyber' friendships. Looking forward to hearing more about your car.
Yeah, this was an interestion turn of events. When he said it was his grandson doing this, I felt like I was watching Dallas, when Pam saw Bobby in the shower, and it all turned out to be a dream ! (old show from 80's, don't worry if you don't remember - or wern't around then !)
Im not buying the grandson story neither, my negative stands. Check out Cliff's findings: "In your case, the system found at least one other username (of a regular poster). I'm still not sure if you and that other username are the same person, or if you are simply using that person's computer (because I simply don't care). Either way, you (and the other) are screwed since now both of you can't post." Cliff mentions a regular poster. Either way, Im glad both are blocked now. Thanks Cliff.

The humorous thing here is that the guy can still come here to read the posts but cannot post himself. It is kind of like looking in the window of your favorite bar but they won’t let you in to have a beer.

WOW...I was wondering why this post got up to 6 pages so quick.... I cant believe all this..and greg put me on the list . Then to see that someone here , a regular, might have been the bad guy. WOW.
Ok someone shoot me a pM with who they think it is I'm lost.
Well, Cliff said he banned one username, and prevented another from posting. A few posts down from there, he implied someone was using a modem. Just look and see which post he was responding to when he asked about the modem.

Before everyone starts the crucifixion process. Isn't it a possibility that Cliff was merely mentioning the modem in this way.. "Doesnt it stink that it takes so long to load each page using a modem, only to read 3 pages of BS?" Versus.. "Hey, you.. It was you".. I don't know. Call me an optimist.
Edited to fix spelling.. I don't think crucification was really a word

Anything's possible, but he didn't comment on anybody else's load time...

Well I guess my question was answered: 150 neg's gets you banned. I think.
I was actually kinda dissapointed to not see myself on his list. Seems the only way to get a ratings bar around here is to get in a fight with someone. Anyone wanna fight?

if you really wanna see your ratings bar you should ask greg how. He got his ratings to more than triple within 2 days....thats alot of rating in 2 days considering most members that have 150 ratings have been around for a couple years
I think cool blue should start this thread over again, so we can see through the flames
BTW you missed me!! jerk... I dont even want to know what that was all about. I've never met or talked to a Fiero owner who wasnt a great person, much less mentaly unstable, kinda embarassing knowing that people will see him and relate him with Fieros. hot... hot ouch

i've met fiero owners thta i didn't get along with.
why just at wheatstock i met a guy that announced that a 4.9 FI engine was the only logical choice because he teaches it. I suggested that he had his opinion and that I had mine. We went back and forth a few times, as we both wanted to get the last word in. But I could tell by the contorted laughter around us that things were becoming uncomfortable so I let it rest.
