All the info ive seen says its supercharged. I assume you mean adding a 6 spd stick. I dont know why anyone would want a stick. The auto slapstick shift is great. You can select any gear at any time, up or down. Computer wont let it go into any that would result in over revs, so no blown engine, trans or missed shifts. One thing I really like is just locking it into 1st. it will automaticly go to redline each time and shift to the next gear all the way up till it goes into 5th. A 6th gear in the auto would be nice to get better milage, but mines already getting about 27mpg right now and I have a little bit of a lead foot too. I dont know how different the engines vary between the truck and car versions. Its totally possible that the trucks will be normally asperated with different cams and heads for different job than the sedans.

Id like some posted pics of your conversion punisher...that is if you havent recently broken your digital camera........ I seen a 56 Dodge convertible at the Mopar Nats with a 5.7 Hemi. Guy told me the crate engine was $5500 and another $1500 for the computer to run it.Besides not physicaly possible to get it in the engine bay of the Fiero, the alternator would be about in the middle of the right rear wheel hub just for a starter. It cant be moved because theres no where else on the engine to put it unless you use an electric motor to power it.

I've driven my father in law's 300M with the autostick, can't say I care for it. I just like rowing through gears myself.

That article I scanned was from this months Road & Track so I assume its the latest info on the new SRT-8. Everything I've read says the new motor will have 425hp na which isn't anything spectacular really. The ZO6 got 405hp from an LS6.

I imagine with a supercharger that motor would be an easy 500-600hp. The ford GT is just a small supercharged V-8 getting 550hp.

Crzyone is right, the 6.1L will produce around 425 hp normally aspirated.

Right, since when is it hard for a big honking hemi to put out 425 hp naturally aspirated?

That's like 70 hp per litre, or running a 2.5 L Superduty at 175hp, which is less than OE.

I just read the other day that the first actual tests of the production GT40 gave it an 11.3 quarter mile at 134 mph. Thats awsome. They had a runoff between it, a Ferrari Enzo and a Porsche GT .

And yes I had a couple of 425 hp 426 hemis in 60s Mopars. I think even the 425 was underrating. Some put out lots more but didnt advertise it. If I remember they put out over 500 ft pnds torque too.
