These things are way to slow in stock form. Again, I appologize if ive offended anyone. The 4.9 was actually my first choise, but I couldnt find any motors for a reasonable price.

Way to go Mr. Pat, you've got my respect! I know that there's always some type of feud going on between PFFers for some reason and it's real easy to get into a heated cyber fight. Bottom line, we love the Fiero for some weird reason and love beefing them up with awesome powerplants. I chose the 4.9 because of a few reasons, here they are:

1. My budget did not allow for having someone swap a motor in like a SBC, LT1, 3800SC, or even 4.9
2. I was under time constraints to get my car running again.
3. Wiring for the 4.9 seemed like something I could do with a friends help (Stuart Lowery).
4. The 4.9 was the best bang for my buck!

I would love to drive an Archie's V8 or Wholf's 3800SC or your LT1 (please?) I''m sure they haul ass for sure...but I am just glad that the 4.9 turned out to be better than I had expected and cheaper. So Mr. Pat, when can I test drive your car so I can give you an honest opinion???

Pat, even though I may post more 4.9 topics than anyone else that doesn't mean I'm the only one interested. Many members, lurkers and non members are also interested in all facets of 4.9 swaps. These are but a few reasons that people should keep a level head when reviewing topics. Personally, I don't have a problem with you Pat, I chalk up your verbal fisticuffs to youthful exuberance. But remember having a open mind about this and other topics will keep you in good stead. You already had my respect, but I respect you even more for being man enough to apologize for your error in judgement. That's a trait many people don't have.

BTW sooner or later we'll meet face to face and have a laugh and drink about all this.

I've asked and every ones thats used N20 claims it's amazing with the 4.9 100HP shot is the 50% rule so it should be fine, of course i'll start at 50 and work up. doing it the correct way. I'd hate to have thecar not driveable again. You spraying dry or wet. I'm looking for a nice wet kit but as with most people cash is tight.

I hear the cash flow thing. Im using a NX wet kit. I got it for $300 about a yr ago off LoW-KeY. They go for about $500 on ebay all the time. Takes a few hrs to install. If I can do it, then anyone can The wireing diagram was even backwards. But I see them for about $300 quite often. I dont think wet or dry makes a difference in price. Its minimal at best.
