Me, me, me....I have started my conversion. It's not driveable by a long ways but it will be by the end of summer (I hope.)
Now, the question is....will this be the first 3.8SC in an IMSA bodied car?

I have one, in pieces right now. But I have one! To the newbie, a 3800 is a 3.8 liter V6. Almost 95% swapped into a Fiero are the Supercharged version. These motors are found in the Pontiac GrandPrix's, and Bonnevilles, Buick Regal's and Park Avenues, and the Chevy Impalas and Monte Carlos.

hello very new here what is a 3800 what does it do ?
To give you a direct answer. A 3800 is an Engine that is made by GM... Its a Pushrod 3.8L V6. one of the many engines that those here like to swap into there Fiero. The SC means that it is the Super Charged Version of the engine.

The 3.8 and the 3800 are similar but different engines. I only point that out to eliminate someone from buying a 3.8 while thinking they have a 3800. Even thought the 3800 is 3.8 liter/litres. Confused? I'm sure you 3800 guys can elaborate.

Harolds car was number 2 done, so he is in the works to get 'updated' with wiring and delete that mess around the supercharger. Low mount alt with dogbone of course.
I have one in my Formula and will be starting another into my 87 GT. I plan on the Intense turbo kit for that 3800 though.. no SC. I just want to see the best of both worlds SC/Turbo.

Loyde
Yep, just got to get an exact quote, and then beg the better half for "moe money" .
I know of 2 3800 s/c cars from this area. Lothar Figge's burgandy convertable coupe and Bob Cumpson's '87 burgandy GT. Both of these machines brought home awards from Auburn a few weeks ago. Bob is running with a 4 speed and a healthy dose of wet N20 from a 25lb tank. Rumour has his engine at 425hp. Of the tens of thousands of fieros I have seen, Bob's ranks second in my all time favorites (Madcurl sits at #1).
So add 2 more to the count. Mine will be No. 3 this spring...
5 car lengths in front of you and still pulling...
