Mine has to be one of the first with this swap. It was built by ACE in winter of 97/98 with a 97 Bonneville powerplant. About 40k miles on swap so far, and running strong!

The 3800 s/c will be going into the silver GT. Unfortunately, my 2.8L is bulletproof. I plan on swapping a L67 onto a spare cradle in the back of my garage. That way I can take my time, do the research and build it up right. Still looking for the right low mileage engine. Almost bought one a month ago but the mileage was too high for my needs.

Hey mine is turbo I didn't think that counts. I have done both a Series I SC and Series II SC swap for other people tho.

My GT is FINALLY done and ready to pick up (and join the 1/4 mile list).

3800 Series II SC, XP cam, 3-3.25" DUB Pulley system, Intense LSD, Intense shift kit, WCF headers, CAI, Borla exhaust (no cat), Jacob's coils, Taylor 8mm wires, 2 stage cooler Autolite plugs, tranny cooler, and more...

I'm expecting low 12's, and hoping for high 11's.

Soon to have 88 cradle or Helds bumpsteer kit.

And one more. Many thanks to all the prolific posters on the forum. I've always been more of a reader than a writer and there is a ton of useful info on this forum. Takes a lot of the "error" out of the trial and error part of the swap. Doug
