i look at it and try to work out what the buttons could do. pulsing the wipers would be good. i'm also thinking of using the trim control for turn signals, like when you flip them on for a second for lane changes, and maybe the front and back control for flashing high beams or the brake lights when you want to scare a tailgator without actually hitting the brakes. i'm also thinking of one being the horn that flashes the highbeams and/or any driving lights i add. maybe have a bright strobe in the 3rd tail light to throw off tailgators too. like throwing a little flare and chaff

Philiphine,
I plan on running my power windows from the "cooly" hat. I have built an interface box that will allow me to run either both windows together or individually. I will mount a switch that will allow me to select between single and dual window operation.
I drive like you do, with one had on the wheel and the other on the shifter. If anyone wants, I can re-mount the shifter in the car to ahow the hand position. I find it very comfortable and it does draw alot of attention.
I got it when I was in the Marines. I worked on helicopters. When one of the switches stopped working properly, we would change the entire grip because when trying to replace one of the red buttons; if you weren't real careful, the grip would get damaged. The grip (called cyclic grip) is conciderd a consumable (throw away) item so every time one went bad, we got to take it home. I used to have about 5 of the things but over the years, I ahve given them away.
They are available to the public. They are used in Bell helicopters but they cost about $600.00.
If anyone is interested, I can post pics of the adapter / spacer I had made and the modifications to the shifter.
